Great piece! When I ordered, I was hoping it wasnt too small, but the size is just perfect! It is designed very well, allowing for many different hand positions for using each edge. The 3 holes were hard to get used to at first, but once I figured out the right placement it actually fits very nice and allows a good hand/finger position that is both comfortable and gives you the ability to use the right amount of pressure. I really like the edge on this tool. Some other tools are too rounded, for my preference at least. This has a very soft and polished edge, but just a slightly greater angle to it that, in my opinion, makes the work more effective. Tissue response is great, and it glides very well. This is a great tool that will last a lifetime!

I’ve been a bodyworker for many years. During that time I’ve tried many tools to help facilitate healing in my clients. I have to say none of them have come close to doing what this tool does. I’m just a short amount of time it’s made a huge difference in my regular clients myofasical restrictions & pain. It’s a quality piece of equipment that will out last me...it solid cut surgical quality not cast so no tiny holes for bacteria to hide; easy to clean with a disinfectant cloth like Clorox wipes. The book it comes with is very informative and super easy to understand even if you’ve no knowledge of A&P. The three holes make super easy to handle even if it has emollient in it. I’ve used it everyday in nearly every session my clients love how it feels. I’ve even come up with my own techniques ... it’s amazing... sooooo worth it.

Just got this yesterday, quality is amazing. Heavier than expected and the bevel edge is perfect for release! Used it on my forearms and biceps with some free-up, worked well. Definitely better than the cheaper "release tools" that you can find on amazon that are similarly shaped. Yes, it costs alot, but its a multi use tool. Invest in your or your clients health, 10/10 would buy again.

In fact I absolutely love this blade. It's gotten more use than I even expected. There's a small learning curve, but it's pretty simple. Be sure to read directions and watch video because you DO need to use it correctly and safely so it benefits you/your clients. It's especially helpful for athletic clients who don't stretch much and/or with very tight muscles. Really helps you get right through the first myofascial layer so you can go deeper, with less stress and work for you and more safely and EFFECTIVELY for your clients. My male clients and strong female athlete clients are huge fans and say that it feels really great and they can tell a difference immediately. Also wonderful for self care!!

I bought this tool to use in my practice as a Physical Therapist Assistant for myofascial release on my patients. So far, I'm super happy with it. I like the fact that it has a broader edge to use on larger muscle groups like the quads/glutes. It's also a nice solid steel that is easy to feel the texture of the tissue as you are working on it. Also, I'm not sure if I missed this in the description, but I was surprised to see that it came in a nice hard carrying case with a jar of emollient as well as an included booklet with visual illustrations that I can use to show my patients what I'm working on. This is a nice all purpose tool that is far and away better than the other tools in the price range.

I want to start with I highly recommend this tool. I purchased this tool for personal use on the recommendation of friend of mine who is a physical therapist. She taught me some techniques for use and I have watch several videos of professionals demonstrating the technique. So far the tool has worked fantastically. I have pretty tight calves and stretching and foam rolling alone have only gotten me so far. I run a fair bit so I am in constant need of TLC. Additionally, I have used the tool on my partners shoulders and have found that her mobility has begun to increase as we couple the treatment with stretching. The tool is very versatile having both a convex/concave age to sweep the muscle tissue and get more focused pressure, the smaller protrusions are great for working around the achilles and around the shoulder blade. I am still figuring out how to use the tool and find the holes to be both beneficial and a bit awkward depending on the edge I am trying to use. Additionally, the massage cream I use does make handling the tool a bit more difficult as it does get a bit greasy. I will say without the massage cream it is more uncomfortable to use. I am sure that the more I use the tool, the better I will be at using the tool and learn new techniques. The main reason I only gave four stars is that the website does not offer any technique videos for using their tool specifically. While i can watch videos about the Graston tools, this tool in particular has no set of techniques associated as put forth by the company. The website indicates they will be coming soon, but not sure how long that has been there nor the duration it will remain. Hope this helps.

This is one of the most amazing tools I ever got. I have tried all sorts of different tools, used different methods, spent a lot of money at chiropractors, physical therapy and many more. The shape is perfect. I have been experiencing a lot of pains and aches and this tool treats all the problem areas. I use it also on my husband' s muscle aches and he claims that it works wonders. We absolutely love it. It's effortless to use and work through all the soft tissue. I love the result I am getting and everybody in our family is asking to use it. The material that it's made of makes a difference as well. I have tried different tools and did not get the same results.

I am a health care professional that works on patients all day long. I needed something to help perform my own body work. You will not be disappointed with the quality of the original MFR tool. It's easy to use and manage the insertions/origins of the muscle bellies w/o losing your grasp on the tool, even after applying lubricant (which is my major criticism of other tools). You also don't have to press down hard given the weight of the tool. Worth the money.
