Check out these releases in this special offering: Book 4: Falling for Love He won the Academy Award for best original screenplay a few years ago, Grant McCarthy's personal and professional lives have fallen apart. Abby, the woman he was supposed to marry, is engaged to someone else, and Grant is back at home on Gansett Island helping to run the family marina business while his father recovers from a serious injury. While all Grant's focus should be on winning back the love of his life, pesky Stephanie, who runs the marina restaurant, is working her way under his skin and into his bed. As Tropical Storm Hailey cuts off Gansett Island from the mainland, Grant suspects Stephanie is hiding something big from her past. When he finds out what it is, what will be more important to him? Winning Abby back or helping Stephanie to right a terrible wrong? Book 5: Hoping for Love All her life, Grace Ryan was the "fat girl." Taunted and teased and ignored by her peers, she tried every diet ever invented to no avail. Desperate to change her life as her twenties slipped away, she decided it was time for drastic measures and had lap-band surgery. More than a year later, she's lost 130 pounds and is venturing into the dating world for the first time. During a boat trip to Gansett Island with the new guy in her life, Grace refuses to have sex with him and finds herself abandoned without a dollar to her name at McCarthy's Gansett Island Marina. At home for the summer awaiting the launch of his debut CD, music star-in-the-making Evan McCarthy is performing at the Tiki Bar when he notices Grace looking lost in a sea of happy people. Evan comes to her aid and quickly finds himself smitten. But the last thing Grace needs after all she's been through is a guy who "doesn't do relationships." Will Evan change his ways to win Grace's heart? Book 6: Season for Love His idea of permanence is the VW van that takes him from one gig to the nextโฆ Owen Lawry has made a living as a traveling musician and enjoys his footloose and fancy free lifestyle. But after meeting Laura McCarthy and helping her to land the job as manager of his grandparentsโ hotel on Gansett Island, Owen decides thereโs something to be said about a roof over his head and a warm, sexy woman in his bed. Laura, a newlywed who discovered that her husband never quit dating, came to Gansett for her cousin Janeyโs wedding, but ended up staying after she met Owen and took on the renovations to the dilapidated Sand & Surf Hotel. As Owen and Lauraโs attraction simmers during months of close proximity, they form a tight bond that will be tested when her estranged husband refuses to grant her a divorce. As summer turns to autumn and Laura and Owen take baby steps toward love, favorite characters from past Gansett Island stories continue to live their happily ever afters. Review: LOVED this hero.... - GANSETT ISLAND BOX SET 4-6 each book although part of a series is a standalone read with a HEA. This series is the Gansett Island stories. Mac and Linda start it all. These stories are their 5 children finding love in their adult lives and taking off on their own. Each story is one that can be read as a standalone with characters from other books making appearances as they are one big family of relatives and friends. It is a very good series as each child is different and each story is different. #4 FALLING FOR LOVE -This is Grant's story. The second son, Grant is a writer. He has a screenplay that won him an Oscar. I LOVED this hero. Not only is he a gorgeous hunk, he is sweet, caring, and a little confused. He was in love with Mattie but when he got his big break to write a screenplay for an Oscar winning movie, he felt he needed to be in Hollywood. He fell into that trap and as a result he lost Mattie. He has been floundering ever since he returned to his home and island with his Oscar in hand but with little else. He discovers that Mattie has moved on and fallen in love and is engaged to the island doctor. He wants her back, or thinks he does and spends all his time mooning over her and trying to think of ways to win her over. Fortunately Mattie had sense enough to see that their romance was going nowhere for a reason. Best friends and sharing the love of friends she realized that she was not in love with Grant and she ended things and has no intentions of going back. She is happy with her life, now she just needs to convince him. Stephanie is running the restaurant for Grant's parents. She is something of a wild card and she and Grant spark off each other at every turn. They fight and bicker like two kids. She is secretly very attracted to him but there is little chance of anything ever happening because he is in love with another woman. And then at a family wedding and having too much to drink, they wind up in bed together. After a wild night he sobers up and realizes what he has done. Yes, it was a great night, but he is in love with Abby and he sees Stephanie every day and it is going to be awkward. But things rarely work out the way one thinks they will. These two are so good together. She slowly lets him know of her attraction and he realizes what really being in love means. This story has a lot going on. There is a tropical storm that hits the island and then stalls out. Three miserable days and nights of nothing but wind and rain. No ferries are running. Business comes to a halt as the power goes out. And then the delivery of a baby that is two months early with no doctor on the island. Little Mac is about to become a father for the first time. The whole family is on hand for the big event. Laura has discovered her husband of 4 months is cheating on her and she is ending her marriage. But not everything is ending with the divorce. The old Inn that has sat closed for 2 years is about to reopen and the owner's grandson is looking pretty good. There is lots going on with this big family. I LOVE these characters. You get so attached and then they show up in book after book so that you become one of them. This is a very good read, loved the characters and their stories. I definitely recommend this whole series as well as this book. They can all be read as standalone reads. You won't be lost if you start in the middle. However, starting with big Mac is a great place to begin the adventure with this family. Good reads all. #5-HOPING FOR LOVE. Evan is the forever bachelor. He has no intentions of settling down to one woman when there are so many out there to make love to. His family is looking forward to the one woman that can whip him into shape. A song writer and musician Evan has a CD that is ready to drop and then in a few months he will be going on tour. He is looking forward to the life he is planning for himself. Grace is a former fat girl. Being the butt of jokes and bullying she finally decides to have gastric bypass surgery. She is a pharmacists and is starting to feel like she deserves to have a good life and a loving boyfriend. Being heavy all her life she has never had a boyfriend. She did have a massive crush on the popular boyfriend at school. He has finally noticed her and she is planning on doing the deed with him on a week-end trip aboard his boat to Gansett Island. In the head aboard the boat she is almost at the crucial point of the evening when his phone rings and it is in the bathroom with her. She looks down to see a text coming in. It says, have you nailed the whale? Do you win the bet? She realizes that he has been playing her to win a $500 bet with his crummy friends. Outraged and hurt she gathers up her clothes and puts them on as he is screaming at her for ruining the evening. She leaves the boat until she can get herself together. She leaves the boat and when she returns he has left her on the island and he has her purse and bag for the week-end. She has no ID, no money, nothing. She winds up in the restaurant/bar at the marina. Sitting in the corner by herself in tears she has no idea what she is going to do. Evan sees her and realizing that she is in trouble and needs help he approaches her and offers to help her. He takes her home to stay for the night and get her on a ferry the next morning. His parents are always up for a guest for the night and rarely asks questions. She needed help and their son was raised to never walk away from someone that needs help. The next week-end she returns to the island to pay Evan back the money he loaned her. From the look on his face when she sees him she knows that he is in a panic that she is returning looking for something that he is not available to give her. She recognizes the look and embarrassed that he thinks she is looking for more, gives him the money, thanks him for his kindness and leaves the restaurant. He comes chasing after her. This starts their story. This is a good love story, a few misunderstandings, a bit of family butting in their business and of course a HEA. A very good read and I definitely recommend it. I found it as good as all the rest of the stories in this series. #6 -SEASON FOR LOVE -Laura is a cousin. Her dad and Big Mac are brothers. She spent her summers on the island after her mother passed away. She was able to find peace among her family members and the heart of the island. She married and four months later she discovers her husband, a lawyer, is still dating!! She files for divorce, leaves their apartment and returns to the island to try and figure out the rest of her life. Owen is the grandson of the couple that owned the Inn that has been vacant for a couple of years as they retired to Florida. Laura has always loved the old Inn and given the chance to reopen it and manage it is a dream come true for her. She has also discovered she is pregnant and now on her own with a baby on the way. Owen is a musician as well. He lives the life of a nomad. His childhood was not a good one and he plans to stay single. He is very attracted to Laura and is helping her restore the Inn. He is slowly getting in over his head where Laura is concerned. But to lust after a woman that is legally still married and carrying that man's child is not a good place to be in. A good story with stories starting for some of the side characters, Joe's mother has a fling with a much older man and now she is upset with herself even though she still has the hots for the younger guy...you will too. Owen's abused mother shows up on his doorstep and things are about to be blasted open when his father is arrested for abuse. Everyone is holding their breath that she will follow through with filing charges. This is a good read and I highly recommend it. I was not paid for this review. I am not a writer nor do I know one. I am not kin to this author. I am a reader and this is my opinion, nothing more, nothing less. 9/9/2019 Review: Fantastic series. - Iโve loved each book in this series and Iโve been busy re reading each story. I had these already but loved getting the boxed sets so I can read them easily in correct order. I highly recommend getting this book.

An enjoyable read
I am giving this 4 stars because the story had me hooked otherwise 3 stars because I have read all the way to book 9 in the series. As a romance story it is excellent but way too much descriptive sex scenes even for couples! Also I think it was very silly for a person to open a sex store (toys and etc.) because the environment is wrong - an island where everyone knows everything about their neighbors would not survive in real life.

Good read
Strong characters . Wonderful family dynamics. Big Mac and his wife Linda are still in love. They raised their children especially the sons to become great understanding men. So far three of the four sons have returned to make the island their home again.

Great Series
I have to say I found both Tiffany & Blaine, and Evan & Grace's stories to be quite entertaining and funny as heck! I found myself laughing at their antics, and the situations they found themselves in. I recommend this series to anyone who loves a good love story with laughter.

Island of Healing
I've started this series out of order but have downloaded the sixteen book series as I've fallen in love with the characters! These characters are so well written they come alive throughout the pages. They aren't written unrealistically as the characters struggle with every day life. Definitely can't wait to read them all~

More happily ever afters
After reading books 1-3, and enjoying them, I had to see what was next for the Gansett Island families! Books 4-6 were good, although kind of predictable. But what else does one want when sheltering in place during a pandemic! Gansett Island is a great place to go to when you canโt go anywhere! Each book continues the story from the previous books, intertwining the lives of many on the island. Book Four, Falling for Love, is Grant and Stephanieโs book. Grant, Academy Award winning screen writer, has lost his love, Abby. Sheโs now engaged to another and heโs back on Gansett for his sisterโs wedding. Stephanie is doing her best to not get involved with anyone while she still has legal responsibilities off island. 4 Stars Book Five, Hoping for Love, is Evan and Graceโs story. Evan, on the cusp of a fabulous singing career, is singing in the bar at his dadโs marina. Grace is crying at a table in the corner, unable to get back to the mainland due to her dateโs idiocy and abandonment. Evan is drawn to her and helps her out with lodging for the night and money for the ferry the following morning. Grace comes back to repay his loan, and the rest is Gansett Island history! Book Six, Season for Love, is Owen and Lauraโs story. Owen a traveling musician and a Gansett Island singing duo when Evan is home from Nashville, never wants to settle down. Heโs just fine, thank you very much, wandering from gig to gig looking for something. Newlywed Laura gets horrible news about her husband and heads to Gansett Island to lick her wounds and figure out what she needs to do about her marriage. Owenโs grandparents own one of the hotels on the island and itโs been closed since his grandparents moved to Florida. Laura wants to get it reopened and do something for herself. With Owens help, even when they are overwhelmed with an unexpected happening, her dreams are realized, and Owen realizes he wants to be part of the dream.

I live your books
I love Block Island. Is is a big part of my life and family. I love how you incorporate RI places into your stories. Even the spiral staircase in the Southeast lighthouse. I like how you used reopening the Sun and Surf into the story. Then it parts you call it the Surf. It makes me happy. I have great memories there. The big chess set. I love how you don't just focus on one couple a book. The people we come to love we read about them in all the books. Thank you.

Am loving this whole Gansett Island series!
Love the sense of family and community and the trials and tribulations of a large family and the problems of living on an island. The island somehow helps heal and soothe those who live there and visit seeking solace.

Good read
I like the way that the books follow up on the other characters from previous books and this does really draw you into the series. Some of the bigger events in the previous books are also explained, which is useful if you haven't read that book but can be a little irritating when you have. It is however completely understandable.

Love the Gansett Island series.
Marie Force has written the most endearing stories set on Gansett Island, Rhode Island. It helps to read the books in order as the characters populate the other stories. Its like coming home! Love the Gansett Islanders! Book 4: Grant and Stephanie Book 5: Evan and Grace Book 6: Owen and Laura Also through these stories, is the relationship between Ned and Francine. Hopefully they will get their HEA one day. These romances warm your heart and don't stint on a bit of steaminess, too!
