Excellent Product!
This spiral slicer works perfectly! We've made lots of zucchini "linguine". The suction cup feet attach easily to the counter to make using it easy. The clean up is simple, as well. We love it! We are vegetarians with a diet that is primarily raw vegetables and fruit. The Spirooli Slicer turns vegetables into fun and interesting dishes! We have cut traditional pasta out of our diet completely, now that we can substitute it with fresh raw zucchini spirals. My boyfriend's 8 year old son likes to help make it, too - as well as eat it!

Spend a few extra bucks for a sturdier model.
I purchased the spirooli for $12. It worked really well, was thoroughly hooked on how easy it was to spiralize squash, onions, potatoes, and cabbage. Great for raw or cooking. BUT... it really was flimsy. The first time I used it the little lever that you use to apply pressure toward the blade broke off. A couple of uses later the handle sounded like it wanted to break but did not. I then found and ordered the https://www.amazon.com/dp/B00WKENSDA?psc=1&smid=A2PQTWPWP4OTEY Brieftons 5-Blade Spiralizer: Strongest-and-Heaviest Duty Vegetable Spiral Slicer, Best Veggie Pasta Spaghetti Maker for Low Carb/Paleo/Gluten-Free Meals, With 3 Exclusive Recipe eBooks which appears to be a nearly identical design, even the blades interchange between the 2 products. The function and performance of the two are essentially identical but the Breifton is definitely a sturdier product, which they warrantee and according to the reviews on Amazon, their customer service is good and they do stand behind their warranty. Make no mistake, the Briefton is still largely plastic so it is not indestructible but at $29 the Briefton is worth the extra money. If you are on a tight budget and can baby the product, the spirooli may be ok for you, but I would strongly recommend spending the extra for the sturdier unit.

Wonderful tool!
This gadget does exactly what it claims. It makes pasta out of vegetables! You can use almost any solid vegetable to make pasta. I have used it so often, with different recipes. From Italian to stir fry, sautéed to roasted, or to make salads. It is faster than cooking regular pasta, and very easy to clean. I absolutely love it.

Don't buy
What a piece of junk. The handle broke the second time I used it. The blades work well when slicing the vegetables but the mechanism wobbles constantly which gives you a very uneasy feeling during operation. I think I will look for a similar product from another manufacturer and return this one.

Recommended for novices or people new to raw and/or grain-free diets.
I was kind of between "it's okay" and "I like it". I ultimately give this 4 stars because it is a great tool FOR THE PRICE. I am the person who couldn't figure out how to use the mandoline that I bought from Amazon a few months back (that had good to great reviews from 2,000+ customers), so please understand my perspective. So far we've only used it to make zucchini "pasta" and sliced cucumbers. For that it's worth the price. It is not a fancy professional chef's tool. It is made from plastic and feels a little flimsy, but if you look at the YouTube video for tips on how to use it, you'll be fine. I am loving it for making grain replacement dishes from vegetables. We can't seem to figure out why one blade (actually two of the three blades) have both a flat slicer and a spiral slicer right next to one another. There seems to be no reason for this, and the design causes the spiral cuts to be "interrupted" by the occasional half-moon shaped cuts, but we aren't necessarily going for professional presentation, so we don't really care. We bought this tool because we have recently eliminated wheat from our diet and are eating more raw foods. End of story. So with all those caveats, I'd recommend it.

The plastic base is fine, the blades are great
The handle became damaged after 3 or 4 uses slicing only yellow squash. The plastic base is fine, the blades are great, the plastic part that holds the veggies is fine but the part you hold in your hand while turning is not good. I decided to fix it myself rather than pay to send it back. I would not recommend this product.

Great product!
It was very easy to use and easy to clean! Also I would think its safe enough for a young cook to use as well. Very light weight and you don't need to be super strong to turn and push your vegetable to get sliced. (I was worried about that) product does exactly what it's supposed to do!

great idea. quality could be improved
Love what the Spirooli does to vegetables however the product's handle snapped off in the first week. I can still make vegetable pasta in spite of the missing handle but it is annoying that the quality is sub par.
