Real slate
Nice sun dial. Looks great in the rock garden. Used a little construction adhesive where the arm goes into the dial for better support. Love the product.

Nice & Substantial
The sundial was made of slate and was of substantial thickness and weight. I gave it four stars because both the dial and the disc were chipped, but not bad enough to return.

Broken
It is beautiful, sure would love it more if it were whole. Forgive my ignorance at the name of the part but the skinny arm that throws the shadow was broken in half… bought this a little while ago and it sat on my counter under some mail. Remembered to put it out today because my son is studying the sun and we were disappointed to see it broken… but he still had fun…

Chipped and cracked/shipping packaging is poor
I have returned 2 of these now. They are shipped in a paper bag. Each time they are chipped or cracked. Can it be shipped in something more substantial as they are heavy??
