I bought the cheaper plastic ones to save money. It was accurate but stopped working after 3 months. They damage easily because of poor build quality, shaky surface, water damage, overload, plastic bending or just the chip dis functioning. This on the other hand was twice the price, but it is still as good as new. It is sturdy, well built, robust solid surface and resistant to water damage. Kitchen counters see a lot of water anyways. In the long run it was far better and value for money. Since I do CICO, i use it three times a day and it is running smoothly. For people with less frequent use, I would still recommend the cheaper ones. Both have similar accuracy. For frequent users or those who don’t want to buy again and again, this is the one.

I usually use it to measure coffee. It is so easy to use that my 78 year old grandmother uses it as well. It is very light weight and does seem flimsy. I have been using it daily for past 4-5 months with no issues. I haven't had to change the batteries so far.

An excellent weighing scale for kitchen or weighing wool or other such applications where weight is less than 5 kg. Very accurate measurement. Tare is working perfectly. Have three scale options - Grams, Ounces and Milli-liters (by converting wright into volume for water density). Stainless steel top is small but ekegent. See dimensions before buying. Very easy to use with good quality material used. A bit costly than similar scales but worth the extra money spent.

The quality of material and the finish is top notch. The ease of use is good: just place the batteries, switch on, place, measure, tare, place more and measure and so on. Tried measuring 100g and 200g and there is a tolerance of about 2-3 percent. For home and kitchen this product is more than sufficient. For the price point (which is more when compared to the competition) long term quality of finish and material strength and measurement accuracy is a big factor. Will update the review in 6 months.

Bought this to weigh baking ingredients as it requires measured quantities. So far it appears to be measuring properly. Slim size makes it easier to place and use in cramped kitchen spaces. Big display is helpful. Easy to measure single item or add on for a mix. Very useful for regular users who need to measure lot of stuff. Easy to clean too.

This is the area where I could not find a reliable branded product and I was very happy when Amazon has introduced its own branded AmazonBasics kitchen scale. It looks quite elegant and works like it should. I tested with packaged goods and it showed the weight accurately. Note that the maximum weight it can handle is 5 KG. It can show weight in grams and Oz as well. Also it can weigh liquids in ml. I am very impressed with this kitchen scale. It is one of the best AmazonBasics products out there. I would not go for cheap unbranded kitchen scales if accuracy and durability is important. And Amazon has also provided 2 AAA batteries (of their own brand again) as well, which is nice. The weighing scale is really stylish. But doesn’t not show accurate measurements. The weighing platform has a diameter of 17 cm. So it’s not suitable for measuring objects with big diameter. It’s measurements were off by 6~25 GMs for different items.

Great, even with a large plate the weight is still visible.

The display is clear and easy to read, the tare function works perfectly, and it’s compact enough not to take up valuable bench space. We use it every day in our busy salon, and it has been reliable from day one. If you’re looking for an accurate digital scale for hair colour mixing, baking or everyday kitchen use, I’d highly recommend this one. Great quality, easy to use and excellent value for money.
