I've used the single Nature2 Spa Sticks in my hot tub for years and absolutely love them. I recently had an in-ground pool installed - about 13k gallons - salt/saline system. It's been up and running for three weeks and I was having a little trouble with the chemical balance due to the hot weather (and very warm water) and occasional heavy rains.I added this cartridge to the filter basket in my pump system three days ago (I have a DE filter) and it's already made a difference in water clarity and softness - magical little things. This is not the regular application for these things, but since I've used the Spa Sticks for years in my hot tub I figured I would give it a go - very glad I did. I will post again if things go South, but I'm pretty confident Nature2 will continue to make me a happy hot tub and pool owner.

I've read criticism that these do nothing to aid sanitation and are just traps for the unwary, but I beg to differ. I used them in my Endless Pool initially because they came with the setup, and then I stopped when I read the (mis)information out there. After a while, I realized that I was using a lot of chlorine and still getting some algae. I now keep one of these in the filter assembly all the time. I used to mark the calendar for replacement, but I don't even have to do that any more. When I see algae start to form, I know it's time to replace the cartridges. A full set (4 tubes) works for just less than a year. When I have them in place, I use about half the chlorine than what would otherwise be needed.

My filters were too narrow to put together in the 4 way format so I tried the other method of stacking on on top of the other. No matter how hard I tried it would not snap together. So I had to put them in my filters loosely. Time will tell if they actually work but I’ll be searching for a different brand when the time comes.

I've been a fan of the Nature2 system for well over 10 years. As long as I follow startup procedures, I've never had a problem with my pool going "bad" (i.e., algae growth, cloudy, etc.). And that's when others in my area are complaining about how hard it is to maintain a pool. Once the Nature2 is up and running, I only need to run my pump/filter 4-6 hours daily, vacuum once a week, shock with a non-chlor shock once a week and make sure I keep a 3" hockey puck in the skimmer basket. I don't even bother testing the water, because it always stays in range. I have a 16K gallon pool, fairly heavy use and I've never had a problem even during sustained 90+ degree periods. And because I use the low-chlorine recipe provided by Nature2, no chlorine smell, no funky hair, etc.Finding it at a great price at Amazon this year just made it a much sweeter deal!

I have used this product for quite a while. The last two years I have purchased it, some of the plastic cartridges have broken and the small beads ended up in my automated vacuum system lines and pump filters. Sometimes I wonder if manufacturers are trying to see how little plastic they can use in their products before they start breaking and customers complain. Not sure if I will buy again next year. Two years in a row with breakage makes me wonder. Anyone else have the same problem?
