Orient Kamasu Diver (black dial)
As a fan of Seiko watches, I've been looking to expand my collection and came across Orient and their catalogue of great looking pieces. At half the price of the RRP who could resist? I wasn't looking for over flashy design so decided on a black dial. The specs for this model speak for themselves. 200m water resistance, Sapphire crystal and "in-house" automatic movement with great looks and build quality. It is comfortable on the wrist once adjusted.. the clasp has 4 micro adjusents. Some reviews say that they think the bracelet is of lesser quality but I think it's fine.. certainly better than on my Seiko 5. This watch really is great value for under or around £200. I am so pleased I decided to buy it.

Great watch.
Beautiful watch. Bought for my 19 year old son as his first quality watch. He adores it. Accurate time keeping. Watch looks and feels much more expensive than it was. Bracelet is smooth and strong. Clasp is easy to use, Face is sooooo pretty and the watch stays comfy after wearing it all day. Vetmry versatile too as goes with most outfits he wesrs and different occasions.A great introduction to quality watches for my son. He will keep this watch and build his collection from it.

Beats SKX007 in terms of value for money
If you are in the marked for at a budget friendly automatic diver watch, this is one of the very best there is. If not the best (of course subjective opinion). This watch is stunning to look at, easy to read and precise.In-house movement. Manual wind and second-hand hacking.Sapphire crystal is NOT the norm in this price range so the fact that this watch also has that is amazing. Some points to note:1. The bezel clicks are not as tight as on more expensive watches. Although it has 120 ticks.2. The metal band is rattles alot and does not have solid end-links. Again, not expecting this at this price so I can't call it a con really. Swap out the band to something else and you are good to go.I must once again stress that this watch blows my mind when it comes to bang for you buck! Look no further. The king of budget automatic diver, the Seiko SKX, has in my opinion just been knocked of the throne.Go check out some videos on Youtube. The green/blue/teal color on the dial is beautiful! Also shipping was fast and no problems.

Amazing timepiece
This watch is just amazing if an automatic is what you are looking for.It looks gorgeous and you can really feel the quality in this product. The dial colour is very difficult to get on camera, or looks much more impressive in reality. The bezel is a tiny bit unaligned with the chapter ring but that doesn't bother me that much. I did have to ask a replacement as the first unit had a small almost really unnoticeable scratch in the dial.I don't like the bracelet, but then I prefer rubber straps. It is quite accurate and precise. In 12 day test it ran faster 4 seconds a day, quite decent for an automatic. The other detail I didn't quite like it's the crown, it felt a bit too small for this watch. But even then, amazing lumen, gorgeous look, quality movement and an almost unscratchable sapphire glass.Quite a bang for the buck.No regrets. This is something that can make quite a long last meaningful gift for someone special, easily.Just a wonderful timepiece, I just can't stop checking the time. :)

Just beautiful
Beautiful watch. Probably THE most beautiful dial I have ever owned. I keep checking the time just so I can look at the watch!Size is ok for my 6.5 inch wrist. Bezel is creamy yet just stiff enough. Accuracy is fine as mechanical and I never expect perfection there.Excellent value for money.Bracelet is ok, comfortable and has lots of micro adjust points BUT it's incredibly hard to remove links! Maybe it's just my bracelet but I broke my adjusting tool on this bracelet. Just really hard to push the pins out and I have stiff bracelets in the past but this is something else. I would still recommend the watch however as it is soooo gorgeous. Thinking about the teal one now.

Perfect low cost introduction to watches
The Orient Kamasu is a top quality watch with top quality features (sapphire crystal, hand backing, etc) at a affordable price; thus being the perfect watch for someone looking to dive into the expensive hobby of watch collection. The design is also very interesting and isn't just a straight homage of a submariner; the colours are especially beautiful when out in the sun but are otherwise tame. The only gripe I have is with the bracelet which I do find lacking and noisy but I plan on replacing it with a jubilee bracelet once I properly wear it down.

Great watch, very happy with product
Very good build quality, read a lot or reviews that said the strap wasn't great however seems solid enough to me. Overall a bit heavier than expected. My only small criticisms are the indentations around the outside of the dial catch the light and give it a bit of a bling look which wasn't what I was going for and the green dial variant I got is a lot darker than the pictures - almost black, so in hindsight if the all black option is cheaper just get that one. Conclusion very well made watch for the money and keeps time well.

Kamasu, In depth review!
This watch is Very Comfy, a perfect size for my modist wrists. it's a 41.5mm watch but it wears closer to that of a 40mm thanks to a short lug to lug measurement. The Sapphire crystal is defiately a brilliant feature for the under £200 range, outclassing all of its main rivals and is extremely impressive value considering you also get a hacking and handwinding in-house automatic movement - not only this but mine is running at an incredible +0.5 seconds a day. With a 200m water resistance you will never have to worry about getting it wet, its perfectly capable of going diving in the sea and lounging in pools. The lume is also incredible, extremely legible and long lasting. The dial is a beautiful sunburst effect, looking just as welcome on a desk as it does in the ocean. This is complimented by the applied indices, date window and uniquely charming hands (especially with the seconds hand and its red tip), all surrounded by a grippy 120 click bezel with an aluminium insert, it feels good and lines up perfectly with little play.Honestly the only drawbacks are that the crown can sometimes be awkward to screw down and the bracelet.Although better than many bracelets it is let down by hollow end links and a stamped clasp, both very prone to rattling, which can be easily fixed with a strapcode bracelet or a good nato strap in my opinion.Overall this watch offers extremely good value with a great movement, 200m water resistance, a fantastic brand and sapphire crystal.I would 100% reccomend this to anybody looking for a dive watch at this price range especially given that the iconic Seiko SKX has been discontinued. The Kamasu is a worthy spiritual successor to that watch and is superior in a number of ways, which is why i now think it should be your obvious choice in this segment f the market. For Q&A from an owner feel free to email me at [email protected]

Unmatched looks and performance. Dominates the sub $1k mark!
Any Orient from the Mako 3, Ray 3, or Kamasu 2 series is an incredible buy. In fact, it's baffling that brands like Seiko can still sell their low spec, overpriced desk divers when these Orients are available. This is my second Mako 3, and just as it happened with the 1st one I have to report the watch is way more beautiful in life than in pictures. The watch is pretty enough as it comes out the box, but really levels up when you add a custom bracelet from "Miltat." These bracelets range in price between $60-$90 USD. And yes, the watch is beautiful enough to warrant such upgrades. The 1st pics are featuring the factory bracelet, then with some Nato Straps, then with the Miltat bracelet I recommend, and finally, I show it next to the Kamasu 2, the Ray 3, and many other Orient watches as well for comparison. Conclusion: A watch that cost less than $300 USD, yet comes with an automatic movement with 40 hours of power reserve, 200 meters of water resistance, unidirectional bezel with 60 mins markers, and a unique look and feel. Simply put, there's nothing else like it in the market.

It's all about that stunning dial and accuracy
Great looking watch with plenty of lume. The red on this watch dial is another level, absolutely stunning. The watch has great accuracy too, variation of 3 seconds in a 24 hour period. Your mileage may differ. Wears smaller than a 42mm.

Excelente reloj (versión mako III) totalmente recomendado
