Best dog bed yet. (6 Month Update)
This review is only a bit premature. I've only had the bed for 1 day. I will update after 6 months and 1 year. (I said 1 month but I honestly forgot) So far it's the best dog bet yet. It was super easy to put together and the instructions were very clear. I have two miniature doxies, Casey and Bebo. Casey is 6 and has pretty bad arthritis in his hips from a fall he had as a puppy where he broke both legs at the growth plates. He hobbles and isn't ever really comfortable without meds. I had taken to letting him sleep with me because sleeping on the floor made him stiff and it hurt to get up after laying for so long. As soon as I got the bed put together and showed them that it was theirs they jumped on (I helped Casey, that kid doesn't jump) and laid down. They then stayed there until they wanted to go outside, and upon re-entering they laid right back down. When Casey stood up to go outside, he didn't cry out like he normally does. Instead he got up and stepped off without pain. We will end up getting shorter legs or cutting these in half. They are about 6 inches long and Casey's legs are only 4 inches. He can't get up without help. Other than that, so far so good! UPDATE/// We put Casey down in June (he had a slipped disc and was paralyzed) and were given another puppy the same month. We now have Bebo and Bonnie. Both dogs love the bed and lay on it constantly. We did not cut the legs in half because I put a step in front of the bed that the dogs use. The fabric doesn't sag at all. The dogs jump on the bed from far away and I swear they think it is a trampoline. We took the bed to my mom's house and her rottweiler jumped on and claimed it. She ended up buying the same size for her dog and no sagging there either. We got the Cordura fabric and it truly is tough as nails. It is waterproof fabric so any liquid that gets on the bed doesn't leak onto my floor before I can grab a towel. I usually wash it off in the shower and set it outside in the sun once a week. The dogs love laying on it when it is outside. We will never own another kind of bed.

Best Bed Ever For A Dog With Pica
I've always had Coolaroo beds for my cats - they lasted about 8 years until I go my dog. He was 8 weeks old when I adopted him but at the age of 1 year, he started serious chewing - completely destroyed the fabric on the Coolaroos (bought several replacement covers from Amazon - all eaten). He has extreme Pica so he doesn't only chew non-edible, like the beds, he also tends to ingest what he chews. These beds were recommended to me by the shelter where I adopted my dog because they know better than I do as far as handling this situation. My dog is only 20 lbs but I bought the large for him and our three cats (they call fit on the bed at one time). HERE'S MY ONE & IMPORTANT COMPLAINT - the instructions, while easy to follow, left out an important step. The "written part" is left out but they have a little photo which most of us won't notice. After you slip the support rods into the fabric, you slide each side into the rounded railings. There's a top part that covers the joint of each corner then an underside joint part for the bed's legs. The instructions tell you to put on the top joint then the bottom, put in the two required bolts and "by hand" put a nut on the end of each both and tighten. WHAT THEY LEFT OUT - you can put the nut on by hand but in no way can you tighten this by hand! You must use one hand to hold a wrench or pliers to firmly grasp the nut and hold it perfectly still then use the other hand to screw the BOLT into the nut! Unless you have very strong hands, you should use an electric screw driver as I eventually had to do. The photo for this part - you have to take a VERY close look and you can see the man's hand holding a very small flat wrench on the bed's underside. That is something you can easily miss because his palm practically hides the whole flat wrench! They should ALSO TELL YOU to put all of the joints on before completely tightening or you WILL have a problem with the last corner. Had I known about this it would've taken me less than the two hours I spent putting this together! In the end, I put together a beautiful bed but it cost my hands dearly . . . swollen palms, sprained wrists, several small cuts on my fingers and a hairline fracture of my left ring finger . . . all of this happened to me - a woman who's so handy that her husband bought her power tools for Christmas a few years ago. Despite this important missing step in the instructions, I'd still recommend this bed to anyone with a "Pica" dog. I'll also be buying a second, smaller bed for the cats to have as their own only this time, I'll know what to do – ignore the instructions!

Durable has survived since 2023!
The only dog bed my dachshund hasn’t been able to destroy. She chewed through everything else. Even beds claiming to be chew proof or indestructible were torn apart in minutes. Ones that looked the Kuranda with open corners were destroyed, too. This one has lasted since Feb 2023! You won’t regret this purchase. You’ll only wish you had found this bed sooner!

The fabric is tougher to keep clean.
I thought these were going to be vinyl and easier to clean, but they're actually fabric. At leaat they seem sturdy though.

We bought this for our puppy's crate as she was destroying blankets and beds in there. We felt bad just having her on the floor of the crate, so splurged on the Kuranda bed. Best purchase. She did try chewing the top of the post but couldn't do much damage. it lasted through her chewing phase and she used it in her crate all the time (once all house trained we just left the door to her crate open all the time). It was vomited on multiple time (allergies) and was easy to clean and dried pretty quickly. It has been relegated to the basement area where it still see regular naps from the cat. It is nice and easy to vacuum the hair off and was one of our best dog related purchases. I will note that one of the screws went in odd and I couldn't remove it to straighten it, so its' always been a bit off on that one, didn't affect use. Can't recommend this bed enough.

What's to dislike ? Well made , sturdy and above the ground . We also bought the synthetic fleece covering which we use during the cold months.

Ordered 3 of the XXl for my Saint Bernards and Newfoundland dog. Very easy to assemble , sturdy and so far they have not wrecked them! Past purchased of some beds were ruined in a few days . Would recommend for the giant breeds.

Merveilleux, à beaucoup aidé mon chien avec sa blessure au ligament croisé! Elle l'aime tellement qu'elle empêche les chats de la maison de s'y coucher!
