Healthy plants - very happy customer.
These plants arrived in good time, nicely wrapped in proper material & ready to plant per the instructions provided by supplier. A bonus was that this supplier evidently adds extra plants to every order in case something doesn't grow. I did as instructed & I am very pleased to say that they ALL poked new growth topside within a week & have been growing every since. I now have a nice bed of young, healthy asparagus plants making green ferns. They will be strong plants next year that I expect I will be able to harvest a small amount of spears from. I placed tomato cages around them for support so wind / rain doesn't flatten them as they grow. The above photo was taken 04/07/2021.

Vigorous plants
Greetings. I ordered 5 plants and they arrived as scheduled. There were actually 7 in the bag. The root clusters had a few spots of greenish mold on them, which is not surprising given they were in an air-tight bag and traveling for 2 or 3 days. Sprayed with a bit of hydrogen peroxide and let 'em soak for an hour before planting. Have sandy loam soil (good drainage) so didnt bother with amending with sand. Added home-made compost and mulched with about 3" of wood chips. Shoots popped up in a matter of days, despite heat (Boulder County, Colorado mid 90s)--i was almost startled to see them. Very vigorous plants. This completes my mixed-type-asparagus bed. Good stuff. Asparagus has a hands-off policy for the first couple of years and it'll be hard to keep from picking one or two ;-) .

Healthy & strong plants!
I am so impressed by the quality of my plants! In as little of one day after planting, I saw a baby shoot come up! Now, they are tall and quite stunning! I can't wait until spring of 2022 to eat some! (In our grocery store it costs $9 for a bunch of organic asparagus!). Thank YOU so much!

Amazing
Confession: I bought these gems in late February and promptly forgot them in the depths of my fridge. Fast forward to today, July 6. I was searching for something tasty when I opened up a ziplock and found them. I thought I’d have a good cry and put them in the compost. But, what is this? They’re alive! *Cue Frankenstein laugh* There were even baby asparaguses growing in there. Obviously, I can’t recommend waiting that long, but it really goes to show you how fresh and well packaged they were!

Strong plants that are superior to my nursery purchased crowns
I prefer these asparagus crowns to the ones that I had purchased from a major brand seed catalog company. I am not sure if it is because of the care of this particular grower or because they are 2nd Year crowns instead of first, but I noticed a better survival rate (100% so far), stronger stems, and more pliable roots to spread around. My memory is that these are a touch more expensive, but well worth it given how long the Asparagus plants should produce. I feel a couple of extra dollars is worth having strong plants from the beginning.

asparagus crowns.
Arrived early than expected. I planted them about 2 weeks ago, and sadly there are a couple of pieces that has molds on the roots. I throw them away because i am afraid it might affect other good ones. I just bought another set from another store ...

plant perfection
UPDATE April 2022I think we did lose some of our original plantings during the polar vortex of 2021, but this year we were on the 3rd cuttings. I cut for an entire month and had enough to bacon wrap asparagus and make my favorite asparagus & artichoke potato salad. We just let them go to fern and I decided to come back & purchase 5 more to fill in our bed. Make sure these are from "Hand Picked Nursery", because then you can bank on quality.UPDATE March 2021These overwintered thru the polar vortex in northeast Texas. We got down to -5* and guess what? All the asparagus survived. It is mid March and we are harvesting! So beyond happy!ORIGINAL REVIEW:I have ordered from this seller 3 times now ... about 30 asparagus plants total. All have come up. This is our first year so we let them grow and fern, but they are coming up perfectly. Growing tall and healthy. I would not hesitate to purchase any plant from this seller. Two thumbs way up for the transaction from start to finish.

Growing!
I'll admit, I did not get around to planting these crowns for about 6 weeks after they arrived. I just kept them in a bin with the rest of my seeds and planted them about a week and a half ago. I thought for sure it was a lost cause but there are baby asparagus growing! So cute.
