Lots of fun as you create your own animals.
This clever book allows the reader to create his or her own animal. The text then describes the critter created and gives it a name like a "Cig" (Cow and pig). Not only is this book lots of fun but it will provide more entertainment then the usual board book. I'm saving this one to give my granddaughter for her first birthday in a few months.Book provided by publisher.

A wonderful series of books...
A wonderful series of books. Creative and imaginative brining much laughter to all young and old. The multitude of combinations of misfit animal pictures are echoed in creature names and verse adding new levels of humour giving a new voyage of discovery each time the book is dipped into!!! BRAVO.I have bought many of each title as gifts, all received and adored equally.Thank you!

Bought this book simply because it was written by Axel Scheffler and all other books have been amazing. Well this as all his other does not disappoint. My daughter is too young to fully engage the animals you can creat and it's cleverly placed animal names splits the names as you flip the animals to create funny animal names. This will be lots of fun but lots of discussion opportunities also

fun book, keeps kids happy
Really fun book, swap and change the animals top and bottom halves, to make brand new creatures. They have even made up new names for the new animals which is fun and kids love it, actually kept mine amused through a whole wedding ceremony which was great

Very good quality, although children might not 'get' it
This is a very good quality book, with the same high quality artwork you'd expect from Axel Scheffler. The idea of the book is you combine the top half of one animal with the bottom half of another - the book then tells you the name of the animal, and there's a rhyme that goes along with it. I think it works better for adults than it does for children, my three year old doesn't seem to quite get it; very enjoyable for me, however!
