MICMI Stud Finder is a easy-to-use, also a necessary tool that quickly and easily locates the center of wood and metal studs and joists behind walls, floors, and ceilings etc. This stud finder operates by slowly slide device horizontally across wall, right of left. When full bars appears on the LCD and steady tone sounds, you have located the center of stud.Features:- STUD mode: detect metal and wood studs up to 0.75 inches (19mm) .- METAL mode: detect metal pipes ,rebars etc up to 2.3 inches (60mm) .- DEEP mode: detects wooden beams ,metal rebars up to 1.5 inches (38mm) .- AC mode: detects AC live wire up to 2 inches (51mm) . Works great, not the most intuitive use
I used it for the first time, it found 3 studs perfectly. The two buttons aren't the most clear and the instructions aren't great, but for non-professional use for the couple of times a year you need this, it'll do the job.

Stopped working after 3 times
Product is cheap and useless.. thought entire wall was a stud after 3 times using it. Worthless and outside return window.

Truth...
Purchased this to put up picture frames and curtain rods. Absolutely does what it says. For the price it's great. A little hard to get the deep scan to work but it does is you are patient.I would recommend this for the price.
