The snorkel is temporarily covered by water and the dry top design will prevent water from entering at the top.If water infiltrates your mask and simply lifts the head out of the water, it will discharge the chin of the valve and remove the water without removing the mask. Wide view snorkeling mask
I have been snorkeling for quite some time. My old snorkeling mask are easily fogged after a few minutes. When I saw this new mask with great field of view and easy breathing design, I had to have it. Now I have tried this mask, I totally enjoy the ease of breath and wide field of view during snorkeling.

Hope you like pink!
My first order of an XS blue mask was shipped as an XS pink mask. I decided to keep the pink one for another grandchild & reorder the XS blue. After all, it was the Christmas rush & mistakes happen. But today I received the second order in a box labeled, XS blue, is another hot pink snorkle mask. Today I'm not feeling quite as forgiving. I'm returning & letting other buyers know. If you order a child's mask, I hope you like pink. That seems to be the only color they have.

COULD CAUSE DEATH! MASK LEAKED IN OCEAN
I bought this for my daughter to use as her first snorkel. We tried it twice in the pool and it worked great. We then took it to the ocean in calm waters, worked great again. HOWEVER, the 2nd time she wore it in the ocean, halfway through it started leaking. I was right next to her and saw her taking on water. If she had been playing by herself in a shallow lagoon, this mask could have led to her death.I quickly yanked it off of her, something she didn't know how to do, and realized this mask could easily cause kids to drown while snorkeling.

Great for snorkeling!
My daughter used it today at our pool and it was very nice. We saw people using them while snorkeling over summer and wanted to get one. This one is very easy to use and no more drinking water while snorkeling!

Not for toddlers!
I have a toddler that is large for their size, at 3 years old, this mask had a 2 inch gap at the bottom. She is an avid swimmer, so I will keep on searching for one that fits a 3 year old.
