Right size replacement battery
The Energizer Max AA batteries are still used in our house for various alarm clocks, older transistor radios and such. They are reasonably priced and are usually long lasting.

Batteries were 8 months old when received. Is that good or bad, I don't know.
Batteries marked 0924 (Sept 24) were received on 05/24 making them 8 months old. I tested a couple of batteries and they tested good / fresh / new / 1.5V. So I gave this delivery full marks.
