I had bought this item back in 2021 along with one for my living room chair. I purchased it because I bought new living room couch and chair and didn't want my two cats scratching at them with their claws. Over the past 2 years, they have held up very well. However, they have started to tear and my cats are now able to get through the plastic with their claws. My feeling is, they have worked well for the two years and didn't find them to be that expensive when I originally bought them. Today, I have purchased replacements. If you are looking to buy these, I highly recommend buy two each for the extra protection.

Our rescue cat turned out to be pregnant. She had FIVE kittens who are now 3 months old and would have peed on, shredded, and destroyed our couch if not for this Godsend of a cover. It’s durable, flexible and works great with duct tape around the bottom (the tape is not pretty but it’s in our recreation room so it’s fine) so the kitties don’t burrow up underneath the cover. Great if you’re painting, moving or perhaps you have bladder problems and your wife makes you sleep on the couch!? Ha If so, this is the cover! We put it through heck and back for 3 solid months. It finally gave way right right at the seam but a little duct tape and viola still going strong!

I like that it fits much bigger than my large sofa so it covers all the way down the back of the sofa and it reaches to the floor the rest I tuck in. So far my cats has stayed away from the sofa. I covered the sofa with a red wine throw cover and they kept pulling it but with the plastic over it they haven't scratch so far. Hopefully it works. Update: Few days later the cats haven't scratch my sofa. I put a flannel blanket over it since is cold in New York and they just sleep on it. So far a great product. No ripping or tears like some reviews had said. Update..I got this in January now in April it has ripped in the center which I used plastic duct tape and many parts of it has holes. It works fine for a few months but so far I ordered three as my cats keep stratching it though it breaks I would recommend it as it protects my cats from scratching the sofa.

With nine animals in the house, I needed something that would actually protect the furniture when it is not being used or when we are not in the room. This cover has worked really well for that.It helps keep fur off the couch and provides a good barrier against spills and other liquid messes. I like being able to cover the furniture and not worry as much about what I am going to find later.The plastic is thick enough to feel durable, and it is easy to wipe clean when needed. For a multi pet household, it has been a very practical way to protect the furniture and cut down on constant cleaning.

Be careful when purchasing this as it tore with me just opening it up, i have had it on for 2 days with a protector cover over it and its already tore! I do not recommend this

Ripped along the seems after someone sat down on the couch and continued to rip. But it worked great before that. The durability just wasnt there.

I returned this product because I didn’t need it. But it was great quality.

The old hide-a-bed was replaced. The new to us replacement is lovely and must be protected from the frequent users: 2 basset hounds. This plastic cover is the ticket! Easy to put on the couch. Fits nicely. Affordable. Perfect for out need. Highly recommend it
