Rock Solid 1/4"-20 Mighty Mount (Black)

What you get when you purchase this item is what appears to be a brass female ¼”-20 nut captured in a 26mm x 26mm x 9mm square (with rounded corners) polymer base that provides sufficient surface area to adhere to the flat surface of any object with a flat area of similar size. As another reviewer mentioned, the brass nut protrudes slightly (approximately 0.3mm) from the face of the polymer.It might seem like this handy item, with its many potential uses, might be a commonly-available fitting, but it isn’t: An exhaustive search for something like it yielded only this mount. It appears to be unique in the marketplace.The many reviews complaining about the provided adhesive are correct: I carefully cleaned the surface of my workpiece before applying this mount, and then I clamped it for 48 hours. The moment any significant lateral force was applied, the mount fell off. The original adhesive was easy to remove, and reminded of nothing more than rubber cement. I subsequently used the same methods with a 3M VHB 25mm diameter adhesive round I had left over from another project, and it’s like the mount is welded onto my workpiece.This mount is an invaluable and relatively unique little piece of kit, but plan to replace the adhesive that comes with it.

Excellent sturdy piece but could be even better. They adhesive that is supplied is not strong enough. It lasted less than a day. I ordered some scotch extreme mounting tape (3M CHIMD) double faced tape and now it's staying put. The only other thing I might change is the threaded insert sticks up a tiny bit and the platform would be more stable if it were flush and making contact all across the piece.

As you can see, I am using it to mount a CamRanger to my photo gear. Working well so far.

it tiny in side look big in pic but i did not read the size i just whent by the photo but as the photo of it was close up so it looked bigger maybe i pic of it in the pom of the hand would give a better ida of the size for the person who for get to read the size but still i can use for what i need for

Not much to say. It’s a plastic block with a quarter twenty hole for mounting and adhesive on the back. As far as previous reviews mentioning the adhesive not adhering well, it sticks well for me. Just need to ensure the place you mount it is solid, smooth and well prepped.

It was a perfect adapter for a microphone with no mounting screw

I was looking for an accessory just like this one and finally ordered it. Unfortunately you will need to use a stronger adhesive for it to stay more permentaly. The one that comes with it is not strong enough to adhere.

The double sided sticky tape is definitely not strong enough.
