Great tool for the price.
This tool works perfectly. I have never used one before and I was able to use it first try just from the directions on the back. I used it to attach several handles, paddle holders and eye hooks to my kayaks. I did purchase longer rivets as the ones that came with it were not long enough to reach through the kayaks and the thickness of the handle attachment. I did have to do 3 presses on each rivet. You have to push it back down tight after each press. I occassionally had to squeeze the handle a couple times to get the end to pull back out after it popped. No jams and I can press it with my hand strength easily. I am very happy with it.

works just like it should
I used the largest rivets for repairs on my car (safety inspections are required here in NH and my '96 Buick failed for rusted rocker panels because they are considered "structural." I disagree with that assessment, but I guess you can't fight the man on this one. Lived in Michigan my whole life and never heard of anything happening to anyone because of rusted rocker panels, but I digress.) I cut out the rust with a angle grinder and then riveted galvanized steel sheet metal over the hole and sealed it all up using high quality silicone. The handle on the gun usually didn't travel as much as I thought it would before the loud pop. I watched a few youtube videos and someone was pumping the handle 5 or 6 times before the pop. Not sure why the difference, but my rivets seems secure and snug. I actually loved using this and am now looking for more things to rivet. It's a great poor man's alternative to welding.

Solid rivet gun
Comes with 4 packs of rivets in different sizes. BONUS!First impression was the rivet gun had a really good solid feel to it.All the parts seems to be quality parts, minus the rubber handle, which had some rough abrasive edges at the seams.I guess i'll take a filer and grind down the rough edges. Minus one star.Being fairly new to this rivet stuff, I'm not sure what to look for in rivet quality, they just all look the same to me.In either case, I did buy the 500 rivet packs, which did come in 5 different sizes. They pretty much look the same as the ones that came with the rivet gun, I guess that's a good thing!I think I'm all set for life with the rivets I have on hand now.

Needed a cheap rivet gun for a small project, very happy.
I needed to place a couple dozen rivets into sheet metal that came as part of a vehicle kit. I had used pneumatic rivet runs before but have never owned one. Since this was the first time I needed to rivet something at home I just wanted a cheap solution and I found it with this rivet gun.The fact that it came with several rivets in various sizes was nice but my kit came with the rivets I needed. Compared to a pneumatic gun, this requires quite a bit of work. 3 complete pulls to set the rivet. Even though I am only using it once (for now) it is a sturdy tool that should last a while.Bottom Line - If you rivet a lot, I would invest in a pneumatic gun to lessen the work-load by 3x! If you only need it occasionally or for a small project like me...this is a nice solution.

Get what you pay for
Like many of the other reviews i had some of the stems stick in the head of the gun and had to actually take the thing apart to get the stem out (it was not easy at all). That being said i can't blame the gun for "malfunctioning" like that, the two peices i was riveting actually tore under the prressure (something i did not foresee) and that is why the stem got so far in the head. For the money it is not too bad, but after i bought this one i did find a cheaper gun (another brand) and in fact bought that too.Light duty this is exactly what you paid for, heavy duty; get something bigger

Well made, smoothly functioning tool
Caught by surprise...biught as an afterthought not knowing where my old rivet too is, I did more than a double take. The mailer for this felt way to heavy to be a rivet tool... nope this is just a did well crated tool. Installed a long needed replacement handle on RV awning in under a minute.Tool is heavy, adds confidence the way a nicely crafter tool can be...does its job effortly and properly.Add this to your order. it works as well as any $50+ rivet tool I've ever used and fells as if it's going to be a lifelong addition to my gear bag.

Got the Job Done!
I was looking for a rivet gun to attach my daughters bumper to her car. This one looked ideal because it was affordable and came with an assortment of rivets. I was very pleased with it when it arrived. It is quite sturdy. However the rivets were fairly short. However I found longer rivers in large box of bolts in the garage. It got the job done! It has a small wrench that would be handy for removing the adapter for the different size rivets. It tends to fall out of the little pocket where it's stored. Aside from this minor nit this was great and I would easily buy it again.

Doesn't work right
I bought a Tekton #6555 Rivet Gun. It is supposed to have a lifetime warranty according to the package but I have talked to the service technician and he is of little help. The first one did not work and I sent it back. The first time I used this I had problems. I am trying to install a hasp for a tumbling composter on a steel drum. The first rivet was hard to squeeze the handles. The rivet popped and the stem is still on the rivet. The second rivet was even harder to squeeze and the rivet worked though. The third rivet was not that hard to squeeze. I only squeezed about half way and the rivet popped but the stem was still on the rivet. Usually I have to squeeze about 2 or 3 times before it pops. The guy at Tekton basically is saying it is my fault and I should get a different rivet gun. I asked him about lubricating it and he says it does not need lubricating and that all the guns were checked before shipping.
