Revlon PhotoReady Perfecting Primer

I have tried several primers and loved one I can no longer get due to high price and so searched on here for one to take its place. I work part time and can't afford some of the more expensive brands, so I ran across this and decided to give it a try and have to say I am happy I did. I have been using it for about two weeks and while the weather is still cool, this primer has kept my makeup intact all day. You don't need to use a lot, just a little goes a long way. It does not feel greasy so far, although again, the weather is still fairly cool. My job makes me sweat however, but even so, my makeup stays on well and I have to blot my face a lot less than I did when I used other brands. My face is dry in winter but this does not make it worse, and it gets somewhat oily in the summer, which I have yet to try. Thus far I am pleased with this product and will probably buy again.

I’ve loved this primer for years! They don’t make it anymore or at least it’s not in stores anymore so I bought it here. I have very oily skin & large pores & it works great to smooth & make my skin look matte

The only quibble I have with this is that it DOES tend to pill slightly, but only if you have layers of product under it, ie. toner followed by serum, moisturiser, and sunscreen. And that’s if you don’t follow the many-layered Korean A.M. skincare regimen! On the plus side, this is one of the few primers that I can wear alone, on those days when I’m having a ‘good skin’ kind of a day (you KNOW what I mean! One of those all-too-scarce happy days when the skin gods smile on you). On THOSE days, this primer blends over my sunscreen easily, filling in the gaps like the best quality paint primer - except that I don’t need a top coat of foundation. It evens everything up in my skin. Little blotches are smoothed over and the whole canvas that was my face looks freshened up, a bit like it’s been run through one of those subtle filters on FaceTune. Not many primers do that. In my comprehensive and exhaustive use of primers from the cheap to the costly, only two have achieved this Primer Plateau: THIS ONE and the Too Faced’s Primed and Poreless in the original pink tube. Also, it’s mercifully matte, but not in a dry and withered way. I don’t want or need a primer to give may skin a ‘glow’ thank you very much! My skin’s oily enough. A soft yet clear matte finish is what I aim for in a primer. Here’s but a small list of the also-ran primers that didn’t quite make the cut — Laura’s Mercier and Geller, L’Oreal’s SPF 30 (nice finish but pills horribly!), E.L.F., Armani Master Primer, L’Oreal Pro-Matte Primer, Monistat Anti-Chafing Gel used as Primer (An excellent primer under foundation BTW - one of the best!), Urban Decay, Fenty, Kat Von D., Kryolan, Mehron and Cinema Secrets. And there’s more but that’s quite enough. You get the idea... The primer comes in three shades but honestly, I can NOT see an appreciable difference in them at all. I like this product and find it is perfect not only as a primer, but as my foundation as well. It applies smoothly on my maturing skin and I don't need a bunch for even coverage. It doesn't settle in the fine lines, and actually lightens them to be much less noticeable. It brightens my complexion, evens out the tones, and gives me a nice, healthful looking skin. I simply add a bit of bronzing powder for a sun-kissed look, blend well, apply mascara, and a light dab of lip color and I am ready for the day. It has good staying power and I have yet to feel or see the need to touch up during the day.

I have used this primer for years My makeup looks great after applying this primer. Unfortunately it has been discontinued and so here we buying up the remaining product on Amazon at high prices. And now I feel this product is so old that it is rancid smelling. But it still looks great. Hopefully it is still safe to use. Revlon replaced this item with a product that doesn’t work nearly as well as this one

I'm pretty new to makeup and after watching a lot of youtube videos thought I should get a primer! This one is not expensive, does not have a smell, or leaves a diff. color on the face. It blends very well, does not leave the skin oily, and feels silky. My makeup lasted all day, and I think the primer along with using a flat top kabuki brush that I just got helped spread everything evenly. I was using the flat foundation brush but the "painting" style I think made me a little cakey. This primer made everything smooth. So far I love it!

This stuff is AMAZING. I can put this on over my moisturizer (let that dry) then put this on (then let it dry) and then put on my foundation. And when I walk out into Phoenix summer heat of 113° my make-up does not sweat off. No, not even when I have to wipe the sweat off. I look bad without makeup. I've got very red skin, so going out in the heat makes the whole situation worse for me. But I discovered this years ago. And you only need a very little bit at a time for it to work. I don't agree that my skin looks better or anything. It makes my skin look a bit matte and dull (a bit, nothing horrible) but I use a shimmered highlighter to cancel out the lifeless skin. Then I look good. I love this stuff.

Empezando por el empaque es de vidrio y me pareció súper bueno y bastante bien, al igual que como venía empaquetado para que no se fuera a quebrar. En cuanto al primer se siente súper suave e hidratante en la piel. Si reduce poros y deja la piel lisa y muy bonita. Es perfecto para matificar y que la piel no se vea grasosa ya que tengo piel mixta. Muy buen producto!!! Lo recomiendo.

Oh My God, this is a wicked primer. I’ve been in the rain, I’ve sweated... and it’s kept my makeup on with no wet patches. It’s really smooth on the skin make sure to moisturise under it though it’s not very moisturising. It’s really good Matt . Wait about 2 minutes before applying makeup. There’s no particular smell. I love it tbh if you don’t rub it in enough it will leave white streaks on your face and can effect makeup application and the results.

Ótimo, deixa a pele com tom uniforme, hidratada e lisa. Cumpre o que promete. Amei. Recomendo.

Der Primer kommt mit eine Punpverschluss und lässt sich demnach sehr gut und hygienisch dosieren. Die Textur ist ser cremig bis "gelig" (Ist das ein Adjektiv? Na ja, wie dem auch sei) und ist sanft hellrosa. Der Auftrag ist sehr einfach, ich persönlich hab das jetzt mit meinen Fingerspitzen gemacht. Was ist besonders schön finde, der Primer mattiert sehr schön. Ich weise eine eher unreine, ölige Haut mit hoher Neigung zum Glänzen auf. Und siehe da, der Primer schafft es, diese Haut zu mattieren. Das find ich schonmal sehr gut, da manche Primer da versagen. Die Haut fühlt sich sehr weich und eben an, ich werde gleich auch meine Foundation aufbringen. Wer reine Haut hat, der wird höchstwahrscheinlich nur den Primer benötigen. Ich... zähl da leider nicht so ganz dazu. Bin schon sehr auf das Ergebnis gespannt, bin mir aber ziemlich sicher, das von einem guten Ergebnis auszugehen ist.

Cette base Revlon est une vraie merveille qui tient ses promesses ! La base illumine le teint et corrige les imperfections, une fois maquillé j'ai vraiment eu cette impression d'avoir été "photoshopé" les pores et autres imperfections sont extrêmement bien dissimulés ! Vraiment magique, c'est maintenant ma base de prédilection et j'en rachèterai ! Pour la tenue du maquillage vraiment parfait, il faut éventuellement repoudrer la zone T si on compte sortir le soir mais excellente tenue et pour le démaquillage c'est vraiment magique tout vient d'un coup, moi qui passait des heures à retirer le maquillage sur mes yeux, là en 2 secondes c'est fait. Je vous recommande vraiment c'est un excellent produit !
