Ordered on the 30th of November with guaranteed delivery between December 4 and 9 with 2 day mail through USPS. Did not receive any updates until December 9 saying that it wasn't going to be here on time. Finally came in on December 13. Also, cord is much too short. Decent light, but was advertised as bright enough for plant or coral. Bright enough for coral would be absurd, but it's not even bright enough for plants. Decent light for the price though

Beautiful Bright White and Dark Blue
I used to have a lot of aquariums, including salt water, and my reef tank was my pride and joy. But over the years, I was never satisfied with the lighting. Either too big (I had a 4x48" florescent hood on my 75g), too hot or too expensive. For the past few years I've only had too 55g tanks running, with single 48" tubes - really not bright enough. Sort of dampened my enthusiasm on the entire hobby.I finally lost patience with one of my hoods, that has been gradually failing, and decided to scan amazon to see what the state-of-the-art is these days. I had purchased some under cabinet LED lighting strips 2 years ago for my kitchen renovation, a bit expensive I thought at around $200 for 10 small strips, but the results really surprised me, and my wife (who was skeptical at first) loved it. So, I was hoping there might be something like that here. Sure enough, I found this (again, thought it a little expensive, but...). And again, so pleased with the result (and my wife too)!1) the hood design is nice looking2) light weight but plenty strong3) the little wire "stand/brackets" work very well4) power supply is small, wall plug type (like a big phone charger - way smaller and cooler than my tube transformers blocks)5) 3 state switch feels solid6) overall good quality feelIn fact, I'm wondering about getting their "quad double" power strips and restarting my 75g tank (which has been gathering dust for 10 years now). One feature I wish the vendor would add though: a separate DC input for the blue set of lights. That way you could run two timers-power supplies, and have the blues turn one earlier, and off later (when I ran my 4 tube setup, I had 2 actinics on one timer, and two full spectrum on another, for the same purpose). Huh, maybe they sell what I want already? http://www.amazon.com/Timer-Module-Beamswork-Aquarium-Fixture/dp/B00EDMOHH8/ref=pd_bxgy_petsupplies_text_yI guess I have more research to do...

Should not have made this model in my opinion.
I paid 60 bucks for this light and it is okay if you are just interested in making your fish comfortable. It's not that bright on either setting but I really love the moonlight setting is why I am adding a star. I then found another light made by BeamsWork for only 5 bucks more and it is about 3 times brighter on the day setting and twice as bright on the moonlight setting. Now I am stuck with this light after using it for a month. I already threw the box away so I just keep this in case I feel like adding a little more moonlight. Buy the other light by BeamsWork for 5 bucks more. I give that light 5 stars so far. That one is great for live plants.

like the lunar feature
Works well, like the lunar feature. May not be bright enough in all situations, Lunar light is VERY blue. would have preferred a bit more blue/white. It also has a short power cord.

Nice Light
I was going to buy another brand until I saw this item. I read the reviews on the others and was not pleased with the outcome. I ordered this after a friend bought one and could not be happier.Light look and works great. Very bright and slim in looks. Perfect fit. Nice and clean Install. The blue lights mode looks great at night. Brings out the colors of the fish.I'm very happy with this unit and saving $$$ over the other allowed me to buy a better filter and more fish.11 month review.Light still works like day1 None of the LED'S have burned out. All are still working great.I'm very much enjoying this light. It's on about 14-18 hours a day with no problem. Great product.:)28 month reviewStill working. No lights have burned out and this is turned on for 14-20 hours a day. Leave it on when I'm gone. Can't say enough good things about it. :)

Excellent Light
I bought this for my husband's 55 gallon fishtank. It works beautifully! We've had it for 3 months and it has had zero issues. The moonlight feature is nice at night. We also use it when introducing new fish as it seems to calm everyone down. I like that it can sit up on the second notch, or be lowered down. It is sturdy and the plastic covering over the lights is sealed very well. No condensation on the inside of it at all. I would highly recommend this light. We also grow low light plants in our tank and they seem to do just fine with this light. It is a great value also. We looked at our local fish store at similar lights and they were more than double the price!

Should have purchased this years ago
Like most cichlid owners I researched and studied these LED lights for years. Always waiting for a better product or cheaper price. The only problem was, I should have purchased them years ago. These are great lights. Currently running them on a 75gal. Replaced the standard ColorMax 50/50 light bulb.I have them placed on the middle of the tank, about 1.5" above the glass, using the Beamsworks brackets that came with the lights. With these lights I am now able to grow algae again, fish show colors I've never seen before. less heat generated, lower energy cost, and more enjoyment for me.Very easy to set up and connect. Currently running them on a timer for 12 hrs/day.Fish look great, tank looks great. I would recommend these light to anyone with a 75gal or less.
