Melissa Fine Semolina

Definitely fine grind, many times products labeled fine, are not quite there. This was silky smooth!

Perfect for the below yummy recipe. My 3yo loves this for a good midday snack! 200g of Melissa Fine Semolina 1 vanilla pod, split open 2 tsp of vanilla extract 1L milk 50g white sugar *Method* 1- Plunge the vanilla into the milk, add the extract and bring the milk to the boil 2- Once boiled, lower the heat to low and gradually add the semolina, you should CONTINUOUSLY stir to avoid the semolina from creating clusters. It is normal for it to thicken after only 1 minute. Once all the semolina is mixed in, add the sugar. 3. Give it an extra 25s stir and switch off the heat. The mixture should be poured into small lidded containers or mason jars for individual portions (I use recycled glass yogurt pots which come with a Thanks Melissa for this semolina, I have been long looking for one which fits this recipe well!

I’ve tried different brands If semolina in my life. This one tops it all!! Smooth and tasty and amazing for all these recipes especially my favorite one Bougatsa!!

Great for baking, sadly it arrived with a split bag, but was still able to use!

My cherished memories of comfort food from my Greek No-ná (godmother) that I've wished I could make since I was a little girl I can now make myself! with Melissa semolina! And bougatsa--that wonderful custard inside the flaky fillo. I've introduced so many friends to it. Delicious, and it's just like the little Greek ladies used to make!:)

Was looking forward to making some Greek desserts, but unfortunately the product that was sent to me was expired.

I don't think I would have ever bought this product. My daughter had to make cookies for her college cultural anthropology class for extra credit. They had to be from another culture. She made the cookies. The recipe called for a 1/4 cup of fine semolina. The cookies were awful!! LOL!! But it wasn't the semolina's fault!!!
