Princes Strawberries in Light Syrup - 12x410g

I've rediscovered long life fruit during the LOCKDOWN. Some fruits can very well. Others less so. I always had my doubt about tinned strawberries but was pleasantly surprised by these Straws. I had hoped they tasted like the little straws you get in the shop bought triffles and I wasn't far off. I had the can in the fridge so was super chilled and ate with ice cream. It was a lovely dessert. The syrup is almost like a sweet strawberry cordial and was lovely to drink with a spoon and dress the vanilla ice cream with like a sundae. They recommend you use these straws for backing cooking but I've been eating them as they are. Lovely. Princes really have high quality. Their Mandarins are the best on the market.

Bought as an appealing addition to my breakfast cereal. The amount of juice seems on the high side and surely accounts for the main content of the can but each can serves me with two breakfast portions so it works out as good (ish) value for my own purposes. I will be ordering again.

Only a 4 month use by date.......not good enough

Sadly now the season has ended no fresh strawberries, but these in a can are nice and though not fresh are a reasonable replacement - I do like the juice especially cool
