VMS Racing 10x1.25mm Thread 5 Speed Round Ball Type-R Shift Knob in Black Billet Aluminum for Honda Civic 96 97 98 99 00 1996 1997 1998 1999 2000 JDM

I put in a short-throw shifter on my 99 Civic, so my shifter was a bit stiff. I knew I needed something with some weight to it and I also wanted a ball knob. So when I saw this shift knob that looked great and weighed a healthy 6.1 ounces, I decided to get it. NOTE: THIS IS NOT ACTUALLY FOR THE 96-00 CIVIC--it's 10x1.25 thread instead of 10x1.5 and is really for a 2006 or newer Civic. I was able to get it to fit securely on the very end of the arm but it did not screw all the way on: it worked surprisingly well for me this way and made the throw just right. It worked for my older Civic, but that was more luck than anything else. This should, however, work perfectly for a 2006 or newer Civic.

My son has a new Mazda 2, but he hated the shifter knob. We found this one and it fits perfectly.
