Star Wars: Darth Vader and the Ninth Assassin

The titular 9th assassin is not the major threat of this volume, in fact he spends most of it skulking around looking cool. I'm other words he is the Boba Fett of this book. Although I suppose "Darth Vader and the chaos cult" would be a Bit on the nose. Anyway, this story is about an attempt on Palpatine's life, and Vader looking into it. I did like some of the ruminations about the nature of the dark side and how unnatural it is for a dark side like Vader to serve another. Other than that the art is quite nice, for all his standing around doing nothing the 9th assassin is quite a nice design.

Based upon the marketing behind this book, it seemed as if Vader may have finally found a worthy opponent. Definitely not after reading this somewhat interesting story. I was entirely disappointed by the duel between Vader and the assassin. The hint at what just may tie into the Death Star's ultimate weapon is a great tidbit, yet it does not make up for the overall weakness of the writing. Being a fan of Vader, it is always great to see more stories about the Dark Force Demon yet they could have done better with this interesting story idea by having the 9th assassin almost take Vader down. My advice....if you are a Vader fan then borrow a copy of this graphic novel from a friend and save your money.

I Love star wars stuff. The plot is a little simple, but the artwork is good, and there are awesome scenes of Vader being REALLY powerful.

I know I bought it used but it said very good condition one of the pages was folded in half and there is a lot or damage on the sides I didn’t really expect much because of the price but i wouldn’t say very good condition I would say ok - good besides from that it is one of my favorites and I would recommend it to anyone

I enjoyed it. it was a good read. I only wish it had been a bit longer like I always do with graphic novels of this sort. The plot is always great but needs to be a little longer. The same goes for this book. It did point out some interesting aspects of who Darth Vader is and what he is like.

Great art with a fun story. The best of the "Darth Vader" comics by Dark Horse that I have read thus far. Fits nicely into the Dark Times era. I found Vader's dialogue to be a bit unrealistic at times but it doesn't detract from the story. Nice art and a nice story make for a enjoyable read.

A very entertaining and wonderful read! You get to see Vader unleash his awesome power and see just how much of a BA he really is and just how thorough he is as well. Plus, you get an idea of just how manipulative the Emperor is even after obtaining the Chosen One! Awesome action, great art, superb story, and a super read overall!!!

Awesome looking hardback comic book. My son loves Star Wars, as do my grandsons. Hope he will enjoy reading it.

Disappointing, it was an interesting plot with great artwork, however it was too short, definitely not worth seven pounds, I would have given it five stars if it was longer .

Con il passaggio di proprietà del marchio, visto che è praticamente impossibile tutelare i diritti d'autore originali, cio' che non è "ufficiale" reca l'etichetta Legend. Qui abbiamo uno degli innumerevoli volumi a fumetti di queste "serie". In formato kindle in offerta costa pochissimo e non ingombra casa. Che altro ?

Absolutely Terrible, cool name cool idea but they never happened. The story does not go through 9 assassins but only a few.Had no action no drama no cause for being made & was so short I burned through it in no time & felt very very stupid for dropping the money on.Look at the art online as some good pics were drawn but is not a comic not a novel just a quick flip book.

Ich wünschte, ich könnte weniger als einen Stern vergeben. Was für ein fürchterlich schlechtes Buch. Die IDEE der Geschichte könnte so interessant sein (Darth Vader! Mysterious Assassins! DARTH VADER!!!), aber der Umsetzung fehlt es an allem. Gezeichnet ist es sehr stylish, aber was hilft das, wenn die Geschichte so grottig ist?
