Emotions Explained with Buff Dudes: Owlturd Comix

"Emotions Explained with Buff Dudes" is a compilation of webcomics by author Andrew Tsyaston, aka Shenanigansen (or Shen, for short), popular writer and artist of the webcomics "Owlturd Comix" (now renamed "Shen Comix") and "Blue Chair". The comics presented in this book have been taken from both of those, and there's a few I don't recognize, so there's a chance they're exclusive to this book. The comics are generally short, amusing tales that give a physical personification to emotions or abstract concepts (like weather) in order to entertain by mocking inspirational life lessons while occasionally subverting itself by providing legitimate inspirational life lessons. They're cute, smart and most of the time absolutely hilarious. The art style is attractive in its simplicity while at the same time allowing the author's massive imagination to run free. While it's true that a few of the jokes in these webcomics seem to share the same structure (a fact that got the author mocked once; something he masterfully reversed later), the ones picked for this book manage to avoid that trap for the most part. It is a definite recommendation. Buy the book for its great content. If you don't want to risk it, then go read the author's webcomics first and then buy it to support his work.

Lets get this straight: This book is SO AWESOME Problem: There is something I don't like Problem About the Problem: I might be taking it like a big deal even though it isn't Well, I'll Tell You Though: On pg 37, it said that right hands are a good writer, drawer, and has good strength, while in the other hand, the author claims that left hands has a hard time with doorknobs but tries its best. Sooo… The author is basically saying that left handed people are bad in everything compared to right handed people, am I right? This hit me hard because I am left handed and I DON'T have struggles with doorknobs -- and I am NOT so bad in writing, drawing, or other stuff. Maybe I might be taking this like a big deal… But you can't say I enjoyed reading THAT. But other than that, AWESOME! I really liked the drawings and jokes in this book also there not inappropriate which means everyone can read it! I wold recommend this book to people that like good art and jokes and are old enough to relate to it all. I rated this book 5 star because it is age appropriate, funny and has beautiful drawings Note: I really very much enjoyed this book!!!

I enjoyed everything in this book, as it all had flavor that’s not easy to dismiss. The stories were all about relatable topics that hit very close to home for me, but at the same time they were still having me laughing hysterically. I especially loved how all the stories were short stories and while many of them were random, others were seamlessly connected to others that you had previously read. Overall, a good book, with good rereading value. Definitely worth the purchase.

Funny and relatable. Nice little bite sized chunks of this comic. I wish it was a little longer but I know comics can take a very long time

I love reading Owlturd comics, and I had to buy this to help support the artist. These are Wholesome, funny, ironic, and sometimes just sad. Either way, I always feel infinitely better after reading through a few hundred or so of the online comics, so I had to check out the book as well. Well worth it!

It's a softcover book with a shiny front picture. In it are lovely drawn comics made by Shen. Some of them are to be read at Webtoon. While there are many new ones. I bought it even though i read all of his owlturd and bluechair comics. It was a nice throwback to some comics I already knew and it also had some comics I've never seen before. All in all it's very funny and i recommend it, even for people who read all of his comics.

Purchased for someone who keeps their emotions within, these comics were found to be relatable and funny. The quality of the book is good, and will hold up to agressive page-turners who tend to tear corners. Even though you can read many of the comics online, having them tangible in a book makes it a cozier experience.
