This is the first book I was given as a ...
This is the first book I was given as a child over 60 years ago from my mother. I have mislaid that book somewhere over my lifetime, so I was elated to see it still available. Oh the memories that came rushing back to my mind as I read once again the story of Benjie Engie!

Not the complete book.
My favorite book as a child, I was looking forward to passing on copies of Benji Engie to my grandchildren. Unfortunately, this copy omits the final page of the book, as it was printed with the penultimate page glued to the rear cover. The book is in otherwise very good condition. Looking at the title page, I see that this copy was printed by Checkerboard Press of New York, while my original was printed by Rand McNally of Chicago. If a complete book is desired, you may want to check the publisher/printer as there seems to be a difference in them.

This is a classic, many goodmtime reading it to our children. Now it's time to share it with our grandson. Not new but original first edition in very good shape.

Great old train book from my childhood
This is one of the books that I made my Grandmother read to me over and over.Reminds kids to look around appreciate the small things in life and not be so hung up on all the big flashy stuff.A good book for any boy or girl who like trains.
