Better than the Original Version. This one SPEAKS! Sound Video included.
The media could not be loaded. This is the 2nd Edition.A little better than the original that came out. That was just a hollow shell and did nothing. This one is a little smaller, much sturdier and now it speaks popular Paw Patrol Phrases. YES!I know a big complaint about this pad is that it doesn't have more functions. But I sort of enjoy the way this is made. It leaves enough to let my son create stories and imagination. Adventures he chooses. Not because the pad does all of the functioning for him.My 3 year old has been asking for a Pup Pad for MONTHS! I am glad I waited because, I think he will enjoy this one a bit more. Each pup says 2 different phrases. Ryders Paw button in the middle says 3 or 4 different things. It is not digital. The screen is a solid picture. It may seem simple and not immaculate to us parents. But the love my kid has for paw patrol, this pup pad is GOLD! I am going to give it to him for Christmas. He is going to glow.I am including a video so you can hear what this pad does. The volume is also nice and clear. On a side note to the Paw Patrol Marketing. As much as our kids are Loving your show. I think you can come up with some Nicer Quality things and we will gladly pay the price. All of the reviews I read have been about cheap quality. I was wanting to load him up on Paw Patrol for Christmas, but I want QUALITY.

No lights, dead buttons, crappy product, very disappointed 3 yr old.
purCHASEd August 2023.Complete crap. $5 audio toy, $5 packaging, $30 license? This was $40 bucks for us. Our daughter saw the device and wanted it cause it matches the show- but…no lights at allside buttons do nothingaudio doesn’t even say taglinesno “chase is on the case”no “rubble on the double”each puppy button has 2 audios(one siren, one bark)center button has about 5 audios- mostly bad sound effects and one instrumental of Paw Patrol theme for 5 seconds.I was warned, but thought “oh- its almost 2024- it must be the new version”To add insult to injury, the instructions are in like 18 languages, impossible to read, and mostly about batteries.I feel robbed by Chase.I feel burned by Marshall.I feel trouble from Rubble.Paw Patrol should have never licensed with “spinmaster”!My three year old player with it for 5 minutes and was done.It will be the first time I try to return a product based on crappy quality to Amazon. My advice- avoid this.avoid spinmaster.I could have purchased 8 golden books about “paw patrol” instead of this piece of crap.On the plus side, batteries were included. And they will probably never run out since my kid is done playing with it.

Great toy!
My 2 year son is obsessed with the Paw Patrol show and was using his hand to call Ryder on the Pup Pad, so he loves this! Pretty good quality, he has dropped it a few times in the week we have had it so far and it's holding up great. The only really funny thing, is there is a switch on the back to turn it off, and one for English and a French speaking option. I was pretty confused when I accidentally turned it to French first thing, but hey, kinda cool! :)

Not many "bells and whistles"!
Purchased this for our son's 2nd birthday. He was very excited to find his present a couple weeks early!! He really liked his pup pad at first. After a few minutes he was frustrated because it doesn't do more. He kept trying to open it like Ryder on the show does and wanted the two blue bottons to do something also. The only thing on the toy that does anything are the characters themselves. They each say a couple phrases from the show. This toy feels cheap also. We bought ours on sale otherwise I would have been disappointed paying as much as the asking price. I still feel like we paid too much for what this toy does. My son is still happy to have anything paw patrol!

Two Paws Up for the Pup Pad!
My four-year-old daughter, who is a huge Paw Patrol fan, loves this Pup Pad! I know other reviewers have complained that it doesn't do enough. But I think it does plenty. There are about three phrases from Ryder (and that blipping noise you hear on the show when Ryder uses the Pup Pad). Each pup has two phrases. That gives your child the chance to make up what he needs each member of the Paw Patrol to do. My daughter has had such fun with this. She is tickled to hear the pups voices coming from something she holds in her hands. I am so glad I got this for her, and the price beats Target's by about three bucks. Two thumbs--or is that paws?--up!

Cheap and overpriced.
Unfortunately this item is overpriced and cheaply made. Very lightweight plastic, feels a little fragile for my young boys to play with. The voices are great and the kids love them, there are only a few statements each character makes so it gets boring quickly but being "a real life pup pad" goes a long way with my boys. The switch on the back allows you to turn the pad off, speak in English, or speak in French. Once my boys figured that out, the novelty of the french language became the focus of play. Its a measure of the toy when the kids think the French language is the most fun part of the toy. No one should pay $26 bucks for this (or twice that if you have two boys who always must have the same toys). Had a lot of hope this would be a great toy, just cheaply made. But it gives them some laughs and they can play paw patrol with it, so not an overall failure.

Muh
Purchased this because our three year old loves Paw Patrol. However, after a few months only a three of the pups on the pad even make a sound. It is just an over-expensive piece of plastic that is way over priced for the limited sounds it makes anyway. So, the value and durable is being deducted a few stars for the limited quality. With technology so advanced quality control department needs to step up their game. While I'm not happy, my little girl was when she received it. But, it didn't last a few months, even with the battery changed.
