Sadolin Classic Wood Protection - Ebony - 2.5L

Very good ..and good weather proofing for out side wood ..My son recommended it to me...better than any other wood preserver I have used..

Have used this before on garden woodwork. Gives a deep Ebony finish even in one coat. Superb water resistance and is the best stain on the market. Not a cheap product but excellent value for money.

Professional Decorators use this to blacken roof soffits behind the Guttering, ideally on fresh or weather wood, gives a long weatherproof Black Surface. expensive ? But does the job instantly by STAINING the wood, not like a simple coat of paint on the surface only.

I have been using Sadolin Wood stain for years now. It is excellent as it soaks into your wood and leaves it with a terrific finish. Its condition on wood lasts for years and when it has succumbed to the sun and weathering I have simply reapplied and it looks as good as new. We have a hard wood 12 foot and 3 foot gates made or iroko wood. They are both now 20 years old and look as good today as when we fitted them as the wood stain has protected them. Would highly recommend.

This is the dogs, ghastly old mahohany windows and doors all round exterior of house were stained with 2 coats of this and then extra durable sadolin, after sanding, last summer, and they looked wonderful and after a year quick wipe down and look as if they’ve just been done. Everyone admires the windows now as the colour and slight sheen makes the house look so much better. Now using it to inside French doors and windows and after first coat, I can see it will look great. Will just use 2 coats of the classic indoors. Oddly Sadolin say the classic is a Matt finish and the extra durable adds gloss, my experience is the reverse. Important, the classic is more of an undercoat externally, it’s not wise to use the extra durable on its own. Final point is that this stuff goes mikes. A small tin covers an astonishing amout of wood.

This is excellent stain and so much better than using paint on our gates, which chips and flakes and looks a mess in no time. This achieves the same look but has a far better finish. We needed a couple coats to get the desired coverage but all in all we are very happy. 2.5 litres is the plenty for two pedestrian gates.
