Cheetah Projector Ceiling Mount 27" Adjustable Height, Universal Arms, incudes 15 ft HDMI Cable, Extendable Arms Fit Most Home and Office Projectors up to 40 lbs, White (APMEW)

Installed this as a replacement to the previous mount which i purchased. The previous one was lacking on few things. Lets start with everything good about this mount. 1) The screws which this comes with are really well built, it takes an effort to drive them into wood. 2) The material is really very well built, was a bit unsure as this was a bit heavy. I had to re-do my wood associated to the joist to make sure it can take the wait of both mount and the projector. 3) The ball joint is a bit funky, make sure you fully push it into the joint before you screw it in. This can cause instability if not fully pushed in. 4) I have BenQ TH585, I had to use the smaller hands provided instead of the bigger ones, it works very well. Now for the issues faced A) There are 3 metal rods, there is a small gap between the 2nd rod and the final one which we mount the projector to. This causes some movement every time i touch it, its not causing any issues, but something which is a damper on this. B) The specific adjustment is a bit difficult in this, need to play around before you are happy with the result. Beyond that love this, very sturdy and easy to install

This mount is AWESOME! Our church bought a cheetah TV amount a few months ago and we were blown away by the quality and the extras it came with so we decided to get a cheetah mount for our new projector. We were not disappointed. This mount is everything and more than you could need. UNBOXING: First of all we noticed that it came with a lot of extras. It came with the mount, extra brackets for fitting all projector sizes, an arm extender, an HDMI cable, and a keychain light. So it is was a fun experience unboxing it all. ASSEMBLY: our projector is small, so we had to change out the long feet for the short ones. It was simple and easy...took about 5 minutes. Attaching it to the ceiling was easy. Few screws and done. Nice feature we didn't expect is that the cables can be hidden inside the arm so they don't show. It's a clean look with no dangling cables. ADJUSTING: when adjusting to get the right height and angle, this mount was fluid and easy. No problems at all. We will be buying cheetah mounts for every future mounting need for sure.

Easy to install but the ball joint slips even though i've tightened the clamps as hard as possible. The down tube when using the extender is too large for the mounting adapter, leaving a gap and alot of play, this causes problems when aligning to the wall as when the projector is set to rest it will go further back than where you tightened it. This was used for an Optoma GT 1080 which ends up being off center on the universal bracket. BEWARE if you do not account for this offset in your measurements (as I didnt) you will have NO side to side OR back to front adjustment. Because of this you will need to use excessive image adjustment or plan to measure within 1/16th inch of square to your screen when mounting UPDATE 12/05/2016 - Seller contacted me by email and was extremely helpful. Sent a new improved unit and also gave suggestions for lining the lens up to the mounting base which worked! (you can flip over the arms that mount to the projector for short spaced holes if needed) Improved design stability - looks like they enlarged the ball portion of the joint and it works MUCH better. Very stiff and has not moved like the first version. I would rate this 5 stars but the gaps between the extension arm and mount tube make adjustment extremely difficult. Other than that everything is high quality and works very well on the new "larger ball" version. Amazing customer service!

I used this on an Optoma HD131xe. I had to switch out all of the arms with the shorter ones, and then insert them backwards so they would line up. It only took three of the arms, also. This was fine as they did line up. Then, like another reviewer mentioned, the silver shaft that creates the pivot is not pressed into the round black base well enough to cinch it up, so I had to weld the shaft to the round base. Otherwise, there was too much float to get the picture aligned with the screen properly. After these minor changes, it does the job it should. ***UPDATE*** Surprisingly, I just received a call from the seller and they mentioned reading the above review. We talked about the adjustment I made to the mount in order to eliminate the extra movement. The lady explained the company reads customer reviews to ensure they are satisfied with the products they sell. I am impressed. When I wrote this review, I only did so to help others out but it may be even more beneficial because the seller says they will reassess the press-in part that causes the extra play. I have never experienced such over-the-top customer service. You have amazed me! She mentioned they warranty their products so if I ever run into a problem with anything I purchase from them in the future, to let them know and they will get it taken care of. Honestly, because I own a welder, it was an easy enough fix for me. You don't have to fully weld the shaft. It only needs a couple of tacks to eliminate the movement. Still, to further the awe-inspiring customer service experience, they are refunding the cost of the mount. I could live without the refund. Just getting the call and hearing the interest in learning how I corrected the problem was satisfactory. Buy from this seller! They are definitely worthy of my business! Plus, who is so in touch with their customers anymore? Kudos!

Fairly easy to assemble...fit my projector. It is a little difficult to get it adjusted and make it hold tight...some slop in the bolts and tightening mechanism. There is a little rubber membrane that goes around the ball joint the assembly, the instructions do not address it...if I had not read about it in one of these reviews I may have thrown it away without realizing it. It is important to install this or I do not think the ball joint would work...its a little difficult to get it tight and hold even when properly assembled. You can do it and it does work, just takes some care and you must be careful if touching the projector or it may change the alignment. Keep in the mind the price...very economical so at the end of day I quite happy. Update: A couple of months after my original purchase I moved the projector and mount. I took a little more care this time tightening things and I must say it is holding very well at this time. Additionally, about a week ago I was contacted by customer service to express their concern with the tightening issues I described in my original review. They offered specific instructions for how best to tighten the ball joint (incremental tightening on both sides of the ball joint until secure). They also offered a partial refund to express their belief that customer satisfaction is top priority, AND have offered to send me an upgraded unit at no additional cost to me (I am allowed to keep the original unit as well). This is probably the most effort toward customer satisfaction of any company I have ever experienced. Wow. I am changing my rating to five star. The unit was a great value to begin with, but the level of customer service is exceptional...even more so given the dollar value of the transaction.

I recently purchased this mount and installed it for my Benq HT1075. Overall, I think it's a decent mount, but my main gripe comes with the tightening of the ball joint. More on that later. As far as pros go, the mount is made out of very sturdy material. The lag bolts includes did the trick in securing it to the 2x4 it was mounted on. I only used 2 lag bolts with some extra screws. With some ingenuity this should be a great budget mount for anyone. When installing the mount, I thought it was a bit odd the mount went from a 7" bracket-base distance to the extensions' (which have to be used together) total distance of ~17" at a minimum. No biggie, I have a saw, so I cut it down to what I needed and moved on with my day. Next, my mount package only came with 5 bolts to attach the pole pieces together. This left a considerable amount of wiggle where the two extension poles are connected. Thinking back, I doubt another bolt would have solved my problem considering the bolts aren't tight in the holes and there isn't any tightening between the two poles. Also, not a biggie, but I have some shims and putting those in made the pole solid as a rock. Onto my main issue, the ball joint. In order to tighten this thing, you have to loosen the bolts above the joint, and then adjust it by grabbing the plate to do the final touches of positioning the projector image. You can't move the projector, because the brackets that attach to the plate will flex when moving and tightening the bolts. The plate is the most solid part, so that's what you'll have to use to adjust. Then, while holding the plate and making sure its where you want your projector, you have to tighten each side at the same time. If you don't, you'll risk the projector moving while tightening and holding. Its definitely a two person job. Also, those bolts don't seem to hold the projector very well. A little bump and you're off once again. Something that was a little stronger for tightening that final bit would have been awesome. But after that long rant. I think this is a decent product for the price. It is made of out strong material, but the installation process requires a bit of ingenuity.

Used this mount to hold up my projector and premier moves in collaboration with the 119" manual projector screen from Amazon. Fantastic setup all together. Actually mounted it to a drop ceiling panel by laying a thicker piece of plywood behind the panel extending over the tracks to dissipate the load weight. Worked perfectly and was a breeze to put together. Actually took me longer to figure out how to flip the image on the projector as my style is used mounted upside down on the mount. Supplied hdmi cord worked great for the beginning setup. Actually ended up using a 100' hdmi cable to run everything to my receiver in another room, works perfect and will use the hdmi this came with for connecting the receiver to the DVD player. Would definitely purchase again as the price is great for a quality item. The cords from the projector feed up through the support to be out of site, quick tip is to run the cables through before mounting to the roof, just makes everything easier.

I purchased this mount for my Acer H5380BD Projector. I am very happy with it. The mount initially is set up to be attached to the projector at 4 locations, but my projector had 3, so I took off 2 of the arms and there was an open screw between them to make 3 evenly spaced arms. My projector's intended mounting holes were too close together, so I ended up removing the little adjustable legs and using those holes instead. There is a little piece of plastic that looks like a contact lens that goes in the ball joint - it's important to put it in there so the projector stays locked in one place. I ended up just using the mounting plate and not the included extension arms, but it's nice to have that as an option. As for SPN Performance's customer service, they are amazing! My initial order was missing the hardware - so all the little screws and washers. I sent them an email and the next day got a call from a very nice representative (Emily) saying that they were sending me an entire replacement unit, free of charge, and shipping it 2nd day. In addition to that, they told me I could keep the one I got for replacement parts!! It is so nice to work with a company that puts customer satisfaction first and foremost. So since I had extra parts, I tried mounting my projector both with and without the extension arm which can be seen in the pictures - it was nice to be able to try both ways. The included HDMI cable is nice and long and is a nice bonus as well. Highly recommended product at a great price.

This mount is an awesome value and manufactured with really great materials. It took me a while to figure it out for my projector as the instructions could have been better. But it was easy to install and gave me the flexibility to experiment with different mounting solutions before 100% confirming the location and distance from ceiling for my projector.

I bought this to ceiling mount an Acer X113 projector in my home cinema. To describe the kit as comprehensive is to undersell it! In addition to the mount itself, which has two sets of mounting arms (long and short) and which can be configured for either 3 or 4 mounting holes on the projector, the kit includes the ceiling mounting plate and two optional extension tubes. You can mount the projector direct to the ceiling plate, or use the tubes to bring it down by up to half a metre or so. The ceiling plate has numerous holes and slots for mounting, and rawlplugs and screws are included to fix it to a concrete ceiling - note that these shouldn't be used with a plasterboard ceiling; you should attach to a joist instead. The mount is very easy to install and adjust - it's pretty much rock solid. The only criticism I'd have is that there is a bit of play where the ball joint is connected to the mount itself, and this can't be tightened up, as it's a slightly loose riveted connection. This just makes it slightly fiddly to get the projector aligned properly, but once it it is in place, the weight of the projector will hold the joint in one place. I have to mention the "extras" in the set - in addition to the mounting hardware itself, the kit includes a 5m HDMI cable, an LED torch, a spirit level and some velcro cable ties. For the price, this is an excellent mount, and is everything you need to attach pretty much any projector to the ceiling.
