Irish Setter, Ashby, Men's, 6", Soft Toe, Work Boot

I purchased these for my 17 year old son for Christmas, and let’s just say I definitely got MOMofTHEYEAR2025. He absolutely loved them. I was super happy with this purchase because the quality of the boot is exceptional. There was no skimping on the materials used to make this boot. I thought the color might be too dark, but in person, it just the right shade of brown and looks very well polished. I was worried it might look orange but it was nowhere close to that. It’s the perfect shade of brown you’d expect to see on a man’s boot. Their functionality was as expected; doing its job of protecting the feet while say cleaning up the backyard of brush and walking back and forth. The material thickness, in my opinion, was a good amount. Not to thick, but not too thin. The weather in my area can get pretty hot, and even though it was winter when I bought them, the weather was still above 75 degrees. So these boots made them a good fit by keeping feet warm but not sweaty. My son has wide feet and I considered getting the wide shoes bc they come in both regular and wide; but I opted for the regular. He said they fit comfortable, as some shoes are tight around the ball of the feet (bottom of foot underneath the toes). So if you’re trying to decide on which ones, I’d try the regular ones first. Plus the leather will conform to your feet once you break them in. They didn’t seem chemically or plastic-y, they did smell like a good quality leather, but not overwhelming. He has flat feet and usually complains about his feet hurting with other shoes that have no arch support, but he’s been wearing these everyday and I haven’t heard one complaint. All in all this momma is one happy customer! Get you some, if you can. You might get FOMO if you don’t.

Super comfortable and definitely worth it! I’ve had these for about a month now and I would recommend buying some gel insoles if you’re gonna be on your feet.

Great boot! I got 3 years out of my first pair, just received my second. Comfy right out of the box, durable, and with a little Huberd’s my feet have stayed dry. Even bought a couple pair for my crew as gifts. Still might have the first pair re-soled.

On the second pair now I love these boots after just a short while they conformed exactly to your foot These boots are very high-quality. You can make them last way longer if you condition them

I CANNOT PUT MY FINGER ON IT, I bought these boots in 2023, early Junei liked them so kept buying them when new ones were needed, , they look like they are 4-5 yrs old, now take it I do , do concrete curb behind a curb machine/slip form, I cut the joints every 5 ft and broom it when the machine has a hick up or is starting or stopping we have to shovel and set forms, not bad at all , but boots it EATS, being on your hands n knees is brutal on the body and the boots, /clothes. I buy these boots every time for there flat bottom and durability, well this pair was different, I swear they were all together lighter, the whole boot just seemed like a shell of the previous pairs I had bought , it was lil like buying fake NIKE, shoes, these boots are just like there totally a diff boot, like someone knock offed these boots but had the same tools n material as redwing/ Irish setter

Excellent boot and comfortable although I recommend adding the cloud insole for extra comfort.

BEWARE!!! These boots are cheaply made. My husband has been buying Irish Setters for more than 10 years, buying two pairs a year. He has his old pair for comparison and these are not only noticeably SMALLER than the old boot (both are sized 12EE) but they are made with thinner cheaper leather all over. My husband cannot wear these, sending them back. All of the new Irish Setter boots we’ve found in stores are made in Dominican Republic and are smaller and cheaper. The ones previously made in Vietnam are the usual good quality. If he can’t find another pair of those he will not wear Irish Setters anymore. Beware, if you are on your feet all day and need a high quality boot, the new Irish setters are not what you want.

Nice and light I hope the break in process forms to my feet but let’s see if they hold up I’ll definitely update my review in a few months. My last pair were brunt very comfortable at first but didn’t hold up to hard road construction after 6 months the ankles would collapse I believe that could of been from transitioning from gravel to black top constantly. But we will see what good red wings can do!!!
