Easy to make and bake. You use actual melted butter and that makes this cake richer and moister. I think it's the best basic chocolate mix around. The price was fantastic too - I stocked up just to have on hand.

I’ve never seen this cake mix in the store before. It was a great buy online so I bought it for when I want to make a cake just because. Edit: 01/18/25 Just made this cake today and paired it with Duncan Hines whipped chocolate frosting. So, so, SO GOOD! It was moist and flavorful and just hit every tastebud! I’ve never had this type of cake before but it’s the best chocolate cake mix I’ve EVER had! Will definitely buy again!

This was great cake mix. I usually use mixes as a base and play Tin Can Gourmet (add more stuff to it and pretend I cook from scratch. Shhhhh! Don’t give me away!)This one I left as it is, and it was very moist and soft. I wanted to eat all of it right there. But then I saw the look on the Hub’s face and I knew I was going to have some stiff competition for that cake. I wasn’t wrong. That man can knock back some chow!Anyhow, the price was great, and the mix was also great. I will buy it again. It’s cheaper than the grocery, even!

A good flavor but a bit dry to the taste. I prefer the brownie mix for moisture.

Good flavor

This is the most moist soft cake mix!We made this into a cake and put cream cheese icing at the top and it just melted in your mouth like butter it was so good.I will be buying this again and trying a new recipe to make this into. My family devoured it.

Nice flavor, but too much levening agent. I had read manufacturers are adding more leveling agents to make the mixes rise more so that we don't notice they cut back on other ingredients to save money and I belive it. Very disappointing, I would rather pay more for a mix that produces a nice cake. The flavor of this cake is good, but couldn't belive how much the batter rose. I baked in 2 9 inch pans. The batter barely covered the bottom of the pans and yet it rose to the very top edge of my cake pans, I'm guessing 4 times the original amount.
