St. Joseph Picture Books (Set of 26 Books) [Paperback] Lovasik, Lawrence G Paperback – Picture Book, December 31, 2002

I love these books. They offer so much information about catholicism for children. They are well illustrated and easy to read. This set is really nice and the price is great when you consider each book would cost about $4. My only problem is that you can't choose which books you get. I specifically wanted "Mary My Mother" and it was not included. All the St. Joseph books are awesome. Definitely a great add to every child's Catholic library,

We love this set and I have kids ages 9 and 6. Every time they have a question about a Saint or anything else, they pull a book from this set. They now seem to know more than I do about our saints and our story. Great little set to keep handy at home.

I was extremely pleased. The books are up to date including Pope St. John Paul, II and St. Teresa of Calcutta. The graphics are beautiful. Even children who can’t read can appreciate the pictures. The set is a little pricey, but well worth the investment.

I teach 2nd grade at my Catholic Church, and this book set is great for Catechists to teach 2nd graders that are preparing for 1st Communion and Confirmation in most churches. Thank you St. Joseph Books for helping out students who are visual learners!

Not one to write reviews… but these little kid books are amazing!! My 5 year old loves them!

The books are well accepted by children. I pass them out during the Church service to the little ones around me, keeping them quiet and interested. They can't wait for me to arrive each week! I learn from them too, they are written so beautifully! I am actually in my second round of this case of books, the first ones being used over and again, some disappearing in time. I could not live without them, a purchase I can never regret, as they are loved by many ages of young people.

I bought these books as a supplement to the religious education materials I have to teach Sunday school, and so far, the kids have liked them. Some of the wording is a bit over their heads (they are 4), but the pictures are priceless teaching tools. The majority of the books in the set have absolutely gorgeous pictures of the life of Christ, His Mother, various saints and angels and passages from scripture. When compared to the simplistic and often cheesy cartoon figures in their textbook, these highly detailed pictures really help draw them into the stories and keep them focused. The kids love to circle up and listen to a story, even if it is my own words set to the picture they are looking at.One downside: the set contains a somewhat random collection of books. For example, out of the 11 or so saint's collection books, you receive about half, and not necessarily those in order. Also, you do NOT receive the books that are listed by Amazon as being contained in the set. You receive some, but not all, while other titles are substituted. All of them are good, but don't count on certain books being included.Overall, a great purchase.
