Excellent and will recommend
I bought this on Amazon in August 2024 and have used it only twice. The first time, I was having trouble figuring out how to move the suction evenly across my face. I felt scratches on my face, which I could feel but could not see. A week later, I thought to give it a try again, and I was pulling the suction across my face with more confidence. I felt more scratches and red marks. At one spot, the scratch became a little deep. It took a few days to heal, which became a slight scar. I was upset and waited another week before I had the nerve to try again. I decided to change the grey disc that originally came with it.I tried many times but couldn't get the grey discs out. Unfortunately, I was a day late and missed the return window. I contacted PMD by email and explained my situation. They responded immediately and asked me to send a video of me trying to remove the disc and the purchase info. They sent a return label, and three weeks later, they replaced it with a new PMD. The first thing I did was remove the grey disc and put it back to ensure it was working. Since then, I have used it a few times and don't feel any scratches on my face. From this experience, the disc was stuck too tight the first time, which caused those scratches. My advice is to remove the disc and reinsert it before using PMD. The scar has been getting lighter since I started with the new PMD. My skin feels very soft, and the dark circle under my eyes has greatly improved. I am very happy with the PMD customer support.

A very “a-peeling” product!
The PMD is great. The mask was difficult to apply to the face w/o having it dripping near my eyes in the outside corner. I rlly like the mask though. I’ll just have to be more careful when applying it around the eyes.

Excellent for Achieving Perfect Skin
If you want to have perfect skin, and you're over the age of twenty-five, which I certainly am, you need to do microdermabrasion or have it done in a salon. I was having twice monthly treatments in a salon, but that gets to be very expensive and very time consuming. So, since I was so happy with my PMD cleaning system, I decided to invest in a PMD microdermabrasion system I could use at home. There is a slight learning curve with this device, but only very slight. After you use it once or twice, you'll get the hang of it and do just fine. My advice it to keep it moving. Don't let it stay in one place. This device really does exfoliate all the dead, dry skin from your face, even the dead, dry skin you don't think is there. (I use a gentle enzyme peel almost every night, and it does a wonderful job of removing dead, dull skin, so I was surprised, but pleased, that this device removed a lot more I didn't even know was there.) The suction of the device quickly vacuums up that dead skin, leaving your skin fresh and glowing. In addition, the vacuum encourages circulation and the formation of collagen and elastin, and don't we all need that?By removing the layer of dead cells, and make no mistake, after age twenty or so, our skin doesn't shed dead cells like it did when we were a child, your gorgeous, expensive, serums absorb so much more easily, and do their work so much better. It even helps remove superficial lines and wrinkles, and who wants those? I sure don't. (I have tiny pores, and never had blemishes, so I can't speak as to how it works with those, but my guess is, just fine.)I bought the Classic version of this microdermabrasion device because I really didn't think I needed more. One speed is fine with me. This version comes with three discs: very sensitive, sensitive, and moderate. I highly recommend you begin with very sensitive or sensitive until you see how your face reacts. I now use moderate or course discs because I don't have sensitive skin at all, but I did begin with the sensitive to make sure the device wasn't going to be too vigorous for even my skin. After using this device twice a month for several months, I now have a fresh, glowing complexion all the time. I love this device. It's become an indispensable part of my beauty routine. I don't ever want to be without one.

Risk greater than reward
First, it’s expensive for what it is. It’s a handheld (has to be plugged in) that vacuums and microdermabrasion away dead skin. But I was hopeful to help save money in the long run.Where the wand went smoothly across my skin, there were no issues. But where the device sucked too hard, I have burn marks and scabs from the white training disk on my skin. There was no way to break the suction of the vacuum without continuing to run across the skin or turn it off. Ouch! All night my face burned and by the morning I had scabs. Face still burns. I only used the white training disk, I can’t imagine how bad it would have been if I used the other more intense disks! This is not my first microdermabrasion. I’ve done many times at the spa (I prefer hydra facials!). The biggest problem with this device is that there is no protection for your skin in case something like this happens. It’s like it just sucked too hard for a bit and then it went back to working “normally”. I was hopeful to find something to work between spa visits but this hurts your skin. I believe that the risk is greater than the reward.
