Exceedingly good germination. I'd say 60-70%.
Will buy again.I grow unique trees from seed and sell them. I normally have a supplier for Dawn seeds and buy them by the ounce. Ill normally get about a 50% germination rate. Which I consider very good for mass germination.I've purchased here a long time ago and it was a dud. This time around, perhaps because I've learned a lot, it was a massive success! How I germinate:-Put seeds in tap water, add as much hydrogen peroxide as you want to the mix.-Next day separate the floaters from the sinkers. (The floaters tend not to germinate, I believe this has to do with water not reaching inside well enough to jumpstart the process. Not a rule, just an observation).-place on paper towel (make sure it's moist) between two paper plates, spread a new potting soil over it.-I spray the top of this mix with micronized sulfur to inhibit fungus and bacteria (up to you).-Place in such a way air is allowed to naturally move by it at between 65-80° (hotter requires more attention)-occassionally mist with water, make sure mixture isn't drying up (soak occasionally if so).-Do not immediately harvest, wait until they are about 1 inch and be careful removing if they rooted in paper towel (soak it if they did, they will come out).Sometimes you just won't win, but for like 20$ this is a good deal. I'll be back for more!I hope the seller of these seeds doesn't mind, but I have a Facebook page named "Rochester Redwoods". You can always send me a message over there if you need advice, run into problems germinating or want to share pics of Redwoods.

Good germination
The media could not be loaded. So far I have used about 1/2 of the seeds. I’ve gotten close to a 70% germination rate so far and right now soon I will have hundreds of Dawn redwoods! Super happy with this seller and the seeds. Even the seeds that floated germinated. I did let them soak for 3 days rather then 1 and then left them in a moist paper towel on a plate with press and seal over the top for 4 days in the fridge. Took them out and left them in a drawer for another 4 and seeds were well on their way! These are great seeds and a quality seller.

Some good seeds, good packaging.
Some did germinate, some did not. Less than 50% germination rate.Tried under stable conditions with starter soil, humidity done, and heated stable enviroment. And i tried inside plastic baggy method. Was better with the first method.Packaging was good and sealed.

False advertisement
"1,000 seeds" - counted twice and there are less than 75 total. Feels like a scam.

Great Value
Seeds arrived intact and well packaged. I've yet to germinate any but I expect them to do well.

Not sure I got a 1000 Dawn Redwood Seeds, but who wants that many anyway?
I didn't count my seeds, but after planting I am going to guess I probably got 600-700 seeds, which for me was plenty.I soaked them in water for 24 hours, removed the floaters (probably 50-75 seeds), then took the sinkers and sowed ~250 of them 5 per cell in a 50 cell tray, on the surface. Misted them well, then covered with a piece of saran wrap, and then left in a sunny place.I checked daily, and right around day 7 from planting they germinated. I would say I currently have about 50-100 spouts at day 10. Plenty for me, my goal was to grow ~10 to give away to friends family and 1 to plant to celebrate the birth of my youngest.Good product. Will update once they are larger.

Low Germination Rate
Followed all steps. Expected at least some germination. Nothing so far and it's been about 3 weeks since I took them out of cold stratification. Granted I only did about 100 seeds. Can't be sure exactly how many but let's say a good sampling. Also bought a pack for a friend and same results. She is a master gardener so I know I'm not just doing something wrong since she is getting the same result.
