A lot of GREAT information!
I've attempted ONE juice cleanse from Dr. Oz... I've sworn to never do that again! HOWEVER, after reading this book-- I realized that I was doing it all wrong! This book has really good information as far as HOW to do it, WHY to do it, and the health benefits of each ingredient, recipe, and added spices. Yea, did you know you could add SPICES to your juices to add additional health benefits?! You can! I'm so excited to have found this book! I was really impressed with the fact that it even explains the types of juicers on the market and the pros and cons of each one!Another benefit of this book is that it doesn't promise you anything- no gimmicks! It gives you a 3 day or 7 day cleanse, but it also just gives you recipes to use for however YOU want to use them. This book doesn't tell you that you have to do a cleanse- it gives you options, I think that's the thing I liked about this book the best!If you are looking for a book that gives you good information and not a "quick fix-weight loss" promise, then this is your book! This book was provided to me for free with the express purpose of obtaining my true and honest opinion.

Very Informative
Like book set up in terms of each item health benefits noted plus what nutrients you get from it.The cover perhaps on back should indicate the credentials of the contributing authors vs. that information towards the back of book.

No time like the present
I began juicing because I was sleeping around the clock and began cyclic vomiting. I watch Dr. John Bergman videos on which he had said to juice for 30 days. I am only into this a couple weeks now but have had a reversal in my health. I will continue with his suggestions because medical doctors, big pharma and cdc have lead me to where I was. This book is very well written in terms of being enjoyable. It is rich in information and builds upon itself so the reader can have more recollection. It does have many recipes (with reference to medical issues)and also gives a list with other ingredients that also have benefits for that particular issue; which is helpful if you don't have all ingredients listed in the actual recipe.

Packed with Awesome Info!
I loved the way this book was set up, with information such as what kind of fruit and veggie combinations are best, choosing the right type of blender (details of a few were covered), which nutrients the body needs and when, and what to juice to eliminate toxins. It’s packed with essentials that one might not think about prior to embarking on the juicing lifestyle, like the fact that detoxing can have some side effects the first few days; and if you’re taking meds, juicing may not be right for you if need to take it with fiber-based foods to release the medicine. It talks about juicing’s true purpose: to give the body a break from the hard work of digesting solid foods.I appreciated the frankness regarding weight loss while juicing. People assume you’ll automatically lose weight because you’re not eating calorie-laden solids, but we’re informed that, depending on what kinds of juices you’re making, you may not lose because of high caloric intake. It also speaks to the fact that juicing to merely lose weight isn’t really recommended long term, and when/if you discontinue juicing, weight gain can happen. I definitely recommend this book.
