Very nice heavy duty stand that fits the sword with scabbard very well ( no play) the saddle is also lined to keep from scratching the sword. I was hesitant to buy because of a couple of other reviews about the pieces not fitting together. Well the vertical pillars do fit snuggly in the base but they are supposed to. This tight fit holds it all together firmly. I had to tap them down into place and that is what you want. The cross bar fits smoothly into the uprights and the uprights fit tight into the base. Use a rubber mallet to " tap " the uprights into place. If you don't have a rubber mallet then cover the upright with a cloth and put a piece of wood over the top of the upright and tap into place with a hammer. Don't hit the upright or you may break it. You may be able to just use your weight pressing down to get them in but I found it easiest to tap them in.I did see a few small nicks in the wood but you have to look for them as they are stained over. All in all compared to the other flimsy ones you find here, these are great.

This is a stunning piece you must buy to display your swords on. It is perfect for us because we just obtained our second sword and they are different brands. There are no markings on this piece which is perfect.This is a sturdy piece that is pre-assembled. It is a Christmas present for my grandson, cannot wait to see his face.He has been looking at this one, I am so happy I ordered it and not one of the others. This has such a high piano finish on it and the red velvet makes it even more attractive.The delivery was in 1 1/2 day. Packaging was the best I have ever received to prevent any damage to it during delivery. Thank you so much for making it available to us. I am so pleased with this piece, absolutely beautiful. The stand is sturdy and well made. The lacquer finish is flawless, and I like that it has hooks in the back to hang on the wall if desired. It's a good value. It's easy to assemble and I recommend it to anyone who is looking for a two sword stand.

Well constructed, and easy to assemble. I have no problems with the actual product. It also looks pretty nice.The only reasons why this didn't get 5 stars are firstly that there are no assembly instructions. Yes it is easy to assemble, and what I did was just looked at the pictures on amazon and it was a no brainer, but they should really just throw instructions in.Secondly the included screws to attach to the wall are a joke. They look like wood screws, with included plastic hangers to optionally hang on drywall, but when I put one of the wood screws into a stud my manual screwdriver with not very much force just twisted the head off the screw. Just get some other wall mounting screws at walmart, I found some good ones that can hold up 30lb each on just drywall for like $7 for a pack.Overall I'd buy again

wrote a lot of questions to reviewers on other sword stands because i wanted something that looked nice. This stand looks nice,, has the felt on the holders to protect the sword and sheath. Now even tho I saw the movie Kill Bill, it wasn't the reason i bought this stand. I wanted something clean looking and the vendor told me i could put the back side of the base facing forward to not show the writing on front. They were correct, i put the back to the front and it looks great. I have a Gunto Sword taken off a Japanese Marine Officer in Iwo Jima and wanted something to hold the sword to reflect this with a nice looking stand. This did just that.

I have purchased 3 of these for my 3 tanto swords. They all fit the size of the swords and are sturdy. However, two of the items I received did not have the glossy, piano lacquered surface shown in the item images, or the velvet-covered slots where the sword contacts the stand. I kept them anyway because I bought them for much cheaper than the current asking price of $24. But beware, if you pay full price or if you absolutely need to have the item meet the specifications I mentioned above which are shown in the picture, you may be disappointed and need to return it to Amazon or the seller for a refund.

I can't believe the high quality of this item. From the solid wood (it has heft and weight to it) to the gloss lacquer finish, to the hardware including the brass screw-on screw caps that you can see in the pictures, to the minimal construction to the felt sword rests to the perfect size, this item is well worth the $40 I spent on it. I didn't even waste time with the obviously fake wood cheap ones. This thing is sturdy and will support a substantial sword set and is the perfect size for it too.The only issue I had was I had to trim down the wooden pegs to get it to fit together, but I assume that they send longer pegs than required on purpose. I trimmed them down and used a dab of wood glue when assembling, and unlike another user who also rated this item highly, I didn't have trouble with the screws used to assemble it. The brass screw caps are of very high uality and I didn't understand what I was seeing in the picture of them, They are a two-piece screw cap, one piece is a counter-sunk, thick washer with male threads on the outside edge, while the other piece is a hollow screw-on cap with female threads that screws onto the thick washer. Very high quality.I am just very pleased with this item and will definitely be returning to this seller for similar future needs.
