Best stand I've owned so far.
Superb heavy duty stand for bongo drums. This is one stand you'd be hard pressed to bend or break. It's very heavy and perfect for percussionist requirements. It has quite a large footprint when open, so also very stable. The bongos are fixed to the stand via a central clamp, which should cater for pretty much all standard instruments. Once the screw is tightened, they are securely fixed and won't be going anywhere in a hurry. The angle at which the bongos sit can be altered so can be easuily adjusted for pecific player's requirements. As far as height adjustment, I am 1.78m tall (or 5'10" in American money) and the bongos are at the perfect height for me by just slotting the upper frame into the footing one and not raising it at all. Anyone shorter may find them too high perhaps. Just something to keep in mind, if you are on the short side, this stand may be too high for you. I suggest checking with Meinl first, or if you can try out a set.All in all, worth the money. There are cheaper options on the market, but I dare say they will not compare well with the Meinl which I am sure will last forever and I fully expect never to have to amend this review to state otherwise. If you are looking for a bongo stand, I'd say you'd be hard pressed to find a better one.Recommended.

Very sturdy
One thing Meinl do well is offering high quality, long lasting products for musicians.Yes this might be a little more expensive than other stands available, but after experience, it's well worth paying the extra. As a seated player, I did have to make a slight alteration to the height of the top section, but in general this stand would suite standing player more.N.B. The adjustment was as follows:Drill through the retaining pin on the top section. Remove 3" of the top section tubing and fix back in place using a 1 1/2" 12mm nut. You can't tell this has been done and it's now at the right height for a rather tall seated player.
