SchickXtreme 3 Blade Sensitive Skin Disposable Razor for Men, Pack of 8

Amazing razors, no burn, great comfort, high quality.

I finally decided to stop buying expensive razors and start buying these "disposable" razors. First, the obvious, these are much cheaper than purchasing the replacement heads for the 5+ razor systems. I get double the number of razors for the same price. Next, performance, for me these perform even better than some of the more expensive razors. I typically used Gillette brand products, these Schick are great. I get a close shave, with no cuts. The moisture bar on the razor is a bit much for me, but not a problem given I wash my face after shaving. Finally, longevity; these last! I'll admit that I probably go through them faster than my other razors. However, I think that's due to the fact that I no problem throwing these away when they've been used. I get about 15-18 uses out of these razors; which is about 4 to 5 weeks for me. Overall, I'm very pleased with these razors and will continue to purchase them in the future.

UPDATE: Still using the Extreme3 Sensitive Desposable and just Love this Razor! I try to find something wrong with it and can not. It just won't cut/nick or cause razor burn. It really is the most perfect razor I've ever shaved with; better than it's brothers the Hydro's, the Quattro and the Schick ST2 (which I'm passionate about my ST2's) and the Quattro is darned hard to beat...but the Extreme3 is as close to a perfect razor I've ever had. Give it a try! Also: You won't find a better price anywhere online than Amazon.com for this (and many) product! It pays to go Prime too:)I've been on a year long search for the "Perfect Razor" to shave with and I've finally found it in the Schick Xtreme 3 Triple Blade Sensitive. With a medium/coarse beard and sensitive skin (that's gotten worse as I get older) I just got sick of the constant compromise between a smooth close shave with raw throbbing face for 2 - 3 days or a comfortable shave and a face with patches of stubble. The Schick Xtreme 3 gives me a smooth, close shave with no stubble but also with no razor burn and no nicks or cuts as long as I practice the shaving technique recommended by Edge Shave Gel; which I also have purchased from Amazon.com. For others like me that also use a shaving brush and shaving soap; this razor works great with my Proraso shaving soap for sensitive skin and my tweezerman's shaving brush; both of which I bought at Amazon for a better price than I found elsewhere.Unlike the D/E razors and twin blade cartridges, you don't have to do a 3 - or - 4 way shave with a triple blade razor. Edge suggests you wash your face first, apply their shaving gel (which is the best I've ever used), let the lather sit on your beard for three minutes to soften the beard and then shave...Against The Grain! That's almost heresy to me:) After 44 years of shaving the idea of not taking the beard down in stages and starting against the grain...makes me wince in pain at the thought of it. But it works! The only thing I do different is I also use the Proraso Pre-Shave cream I purchased here at Amazon.com to provide myself with a slicker shaving surface before I apply the shave gel and I shave against the grain for my entire face with no problem at all. The Schick Xtreme 3 glides smoothly across my face against the grain, weather it's a next day shave or after three days of not shaving. I get about 7 - 8 shaves per razor which costs me about 0.17 cents a shave at Amazon's great price and that's good enough for me. Price is very important to me but watching the shaving cream turn pink with blood oozing through my pores with the D/E blades and the pain afterward...0.17 cents is cheap enough. It's an excellent razor for sensitive skin and the Edge Shave Gel 'against the grain' instructions gives me a perfect pain free shave with a once over instead of going over my face several times or doing multiple touch ups. Give this product a try!

I was looking for a lower cost alternative to the Gillette sensor 3 blades which I feel were very good for me, but expensive I would say I have fairly tough beard; especially if I skip a day. These were not bad. They got the job done with only one small nick here or there.Pros: Blades are spaced enough apart that they don't clog as easily as some others, I don't have to use a spare toothbrush to help clean themwhile shaving, If I don't skip a day(two day growth), I can get about 3 decent shaves out of them.Cons: Have to be careful not to get a little cut. While the Gillette's get about double the shave's, they are also moreexpensive. I feel the difference in price justifies the use of the Schick's although I'm convinced the Gillette shave is smoother.In the end; I feel it is a "utility" vs. "price war". Just my opinion !

I have ordered these before, and for guys with sensitive skin, they are the best! I have a pretty heavy beard, use it every day, and each shaver will last me for about 3 weeks; so for me, they are a good bang for the buck; even tho they-- perhaps-- appear a bit pricey. Trust me, I shopped at my local chain drug store, as well as a division of the "Dollar" store systems, and they are priced more reasonable here on Amazon. ON this order, they had a dollar coupon, which I applied, and when I got the package, there was a bonus of 2 extra shavers included---so that was even more of a surpize. They are very smooth, dont cut my skin in anyway, no nics at all, no razor burn, and last a long time. Will oder more as needed.

I've tried every razor on the market (for reasons even I can't explain) and have come to the conclusion that this razor is "the best" for the following reasons:1. The shave is clean and long-lasting2. The chance for nicks is much less than most3. The razor head is wide, which provides stability and reduces shaving time4. The price is far less than the insanely-priced Gillette Fusion, which in my experience has some -- but not enough - benefits to justify its lofty cost.5. These razors can be purchased at very low prices not just a Amazon but at CVS and no doubt other retailers using a coupon or watching for a discount.6. Note: This razor has a better feel than the cartridge version, which is heavier and unbalanced.In short, Schick finally got it right, eliminating the need to line Gillette's pockets.
