I absolutely love this rice holder! I'm a bit lazy and always disliked having to open the rice bag and measure out how much I wanted. This rice holder solves that problem perfectly. It has a simple lever that you flip like a light switch. When you flip it down, it dispenses roughly a cup of rice. Once all the rice has dropped, just flip it back up, and you'll hear it refill back into the chamber. Now, whenever I need rice, I simply flip it up and down three times for 3 cups, then take the tray and pour it into my rice cooker, add water, and that’s it! Love it because i get the right amount of rice for each level of my rich cooker. And also have all my rice stored nicely away. Such a good buy if you cook rice a lot

We have been using this as a popcorn storage device since we buy popcorn by the 25# bag (we eat a lot of popcorn). It dispenses the perfect amount of kernels for our theatre-style popcorn maker (fills the measuring cup level, not heaping like I used to do) and has been reliably consistent with operation. We were worried that the larger "mushroom" kernels would jam the device up, but so far that has not happened and anticipate an even smoother operation with the more common "butterfly" (smaller) kernels.

Even though I gave this 4 stars, I would definitely buy this again. Five star characteristics are as follows: It is easy to fill, the top is large, I have no problem picking up a rice bag and pouring the rice in with no spillage. The top fits well, no seams, gaps or openings for anything to fall/crawl in. It does indeed fit 25 pounds of rice. The wheels on the bottom help when sliding the dispenser out for refills. The clear front allows me to see what's left inside and when it's running low and time to buy a new bag of rice. The drawer slides in and out smoothly. The one star deduction is because it does not dispense 1 cup of rice like the manufacturer says. It is arbitrary, based on how full the container is and gravity. I've learned to work with it. My unit has probably dispensed about 450 pounds of rice since I purchased it and i'm still happy with it!

The media could not be loaded. UPDATE: I have tested it for a litttle while now wnd it indeed holds a full 25lb bag of rice . I am satisfied so far with this time. So far looks good to me, and it is air tight, this is the 3rd one I buy looking for something that holds 25lbs bag. The first one I got only hold 22 lbs, the 2nd one was not air tight. So this was slightly more expensive which is why it was my third option but hoping that it works well and does its job. As for accuracy of dispensing 1 cup each time, not accurate. As you can see I dispensed 1, 1 push, and it’s about 3/4 cup not one whole. But that’s not a big problem for me I rather just pour it in my cup to be sure I get the same amount every time I cook. I am excited to continue to use it and recommend to friends if it keeps doing well.

Fits nicely under the cabinets on the counter. Holds an ample amount of rice, easy to refill. The dispenser is a little clunky at times but overall fits out needs perfectly.

I had a great childhood. My Dad was career Navy and my wonderful Mom stayed at home and loved and cared for her three kids. I grew up believing that the only rice was Minute Rice. As an adult I met the second most wonderful woman I’ve ever met (right behind Mom). Twenty six years ago I married this wonderful woman, June. June was born in Viet Nam and she quickly opened my eyes to the world of rice. For all these years, there was always a one-cup measuring cup inside the bag of rice. I didn’t know these storage devices existed. Wow...just like I missed out on the wonders of rice until June showed me there were options other than Minute Rice, I also missed out on the ease of use and value of this storage and measuring device. This thing is great. No more time spent bent over the 50 lb bag of rice in the pantry, scooping rice one cup at a time and making sure each scoop is a level scoop. Knowing that if my scoops are heaping, I won’t add the right amount of water to the rice cooker and my rice will be dry. Or if my scoops are less than full, then my rice will turn out soggy. Since having this wonderful item, the rice I make has been perfect every time. One easy push of the lever sends exactly one cup of rice into the container. Each subsequent push adds an additional cup. So easy to use. And now I’m as good at making rice as my wife. Yay! This item is great and so easy to use. An attractive way to store rice. We keep ours on the counter top. And makes inaccurate measurement of rice impossible. Buy this and your cooked rice will always be accurately measured and thus, will always come out perfectly cooked. Highly recommend.

I bought one dispenser for rice in 2017, and I loved it so much that I bought another dispenser for quinoa/millet in 2022. They work very well for all grains.I wrote to Aroma Housewares asking if the dispenser works for small grains like quinoa, and they said it did not. But, I tried another brand and didn't like it at all. So, I took a chance and bought this one. It works quite well. After I dispense the grain, I wait a second and pull out the container gently, so I don't experience any spills.Since I bought the dispensers, they seem to have upgraded to a newer design that holds more grain (27 lbs instead of 22 lbs), and has useful features like wheels for easy rolling and capacity lines. But, the main feature, which is the pull-down lever remains the same. This is good, because the other brands have push-buttons that are flimsy and cause major spills.(Tip: I saw that some other brands offer a tiny container that holds bay leaves to prevent weevils. I have not had a weevil problem so far. But, I started adding one or two bay leaves in both my containers last year, just to be safe).
