must-have
I'm a dog walker and I use this for work, and it's been such a huge game changer in the five years since I bought it. It's really sturdy, no parts of it have broken despite walking lots of dogs who aren't well leash-trained and pull a lot. If your dog does tend to pull, though, I'd recommend trying to get it snug over your hips rather than your waist - that's felt much more stable to me when walking big dogs. It's really good if you own multiple dogs since you can just clip more leashes to it with carabiners. I love that I can still check my phone for texts or calls from other clients (you'd be surprised how frequently people tend to have last-second schedule changes) even if I'm out with two dogs at once. And it's perfect in the summer when I constantly need to have a water bottle on me - no awkward stopping to get it out of a bag or just holding it and only having one hand free for emergencies. I do also really like keeping baggies in it - I wouldn't say it's particularly more convenient than those cases you put the rolls in, but in my experience it's been more secure - I don't have to worry about bags falling out of this pocket, whereas I've had those cases pop open in the past (I tend to use my clients' bags if they have them already attached to their normal leash, and some of them have a lot of wear and tear on them). Plus if you prefer using newspaper sleeves to buying bags, I do find the pocket a lot better than just keeping them in your own pockets. Would definitely, definitely recommend, especially for big dogs.

OBSESSED
I have two Goldens, one is 115 lb and the other is 75 lb. We recently moved to a county with a leash law, but they were trained on vibrating e-collars, so they’re still getting used to our walks now. I take them by myself and there is no way to train the two of them at a time to not pull on the leash, so this item has quite literally been my saving grace. I’ve been able to utilize their e-collars to train them on the leashes since I’ve had free hands, and it’s so much more enjoyable. Before this my arms were basically giving out on me at the end of our walk, but since this uses your body weight they immediately come back to their “heel” position. The shock absorbers on the leashes are also amazing because even when they do pull, I don’t feel like I’m fighting against them. My only qualm is that the leash lengths are a bit weird, especially if you like to ensure your dogs stay closer to your side when you walk. The short one is a great length for my smaller dog, but the long one kept getting under my larger dog’s arm since it was dragging. I ended up just looping the leash on his collar (you can see this in the photo) and it’s a much better length. I wouldn’t attach the smaller leash to the end of the longer leash like the product implies, because they’d get tripped up over it. So I have one on each side :) I also wanted a waist leash with a fanny pack because I already carried one anyways. It holds my keys, iPhone 13 Pro Max, biodegradable waste bags, and hand sanitizer! I don’t utilize the water bottle holder because I don’t own a water bottle that small, but it would work regardless. It is bulkier, but for what I need it’s perfect and I don’t mind :) Also, I’m not sure if they redesigned this since some of the other reviews, but these leashes are not flimsy at all. My larger dog (again, he’s 115 lb) has yanked pretty good on the leash/belt because he wanted to run to a dog in our neighborhood that sits out back and barks incessantly, and at no point did I feel like it was going to break or give out. Highly recommend!!

The BEST pouch for a service dog handler!
I have a service dog for my epilepsy and this pouch helps me to have some freedom. When out and about with Zeke (SD) there are some things that I also have to have on me and it's important to have those things handy without carrying them in my hands at all times. This pouch helps me store my bolus (a wireless remote that connects to my morphine pump in my hip), business cards that have information on the rights of a disabled person and service dog (so many people including police don't know the laws and try to stop us from going into public places), it has different rubberized perforation areas to feed dog-poo bags through (it makes it great bc I can access the bags quickly without digging around inside the bag and also the rubberization keeps the bags taut so they're not just flying out of the pouch either). The front pocket is separated nicely so that I can keep my license, credit cards, a wallet separate from the main area in the pocket. There's also a generous sized side pocket that would be good for keys, a ball, whatever. Since Zeke is a service dog, it's important to always have plenty of cookies on hand for reinforcement; that it makes a perfect cookie compartment (the placement is perfect for this). There's also an open compartment that can be used for a water bottle (conventional - most travel-sized water bottles won't fit here) or a ball (or something of the like). This is really good quality material. The fabric has held together really well for the 6 months I've had mine so far. No fraying of the stitching, no zipper issues whatsoever. It also is quite water-resistant. Zeke and I have been out in all kinds of rain and snow and my items inside (phone, bolus remote, paper items) have never gotten any water on them. I'm not saying to go swimming in it; but my experience in the rain and snow has been safe thus far :). The leash was a great added bonus. The handles and D-rings are in just the right places. It's great to be able to give him a little extra room with the bungy material as well. I also affix a traffic lead (short 3-foot leash) on his harness for when I need him close and drop that when he can have more freedom.Whether you'll be using this on the daily, like me, for a service dog/working dog or as a great hiking accessory for your travel buddy - you CANNOT go wrong with this pouch!
