I actually want to play the 3DS for more than 10 minutes now
Makes 3DS feel a lot more like a proper controller instead of a flat slab with buttons. The grip feels a little hollow, but considering that added weight is a detriment to a handheld, it's not a big issue. What is, is that the plastic quality could be better - this makes the console feel more like a 3rd party GameStop branded controller; I think they could get away with charging more if they'd use a higher quality plastic. The power button is a little harder to reach now, as well. The grip does cover the cartridge port, but I don't use cartridges so it doesn't bother me. It has a similar grip feel to what you would get with using the joy con grip on the switch - the face of the controller is still flat, but it's better than using them without the grip.Overall even if it does make the 3DS look cheap, it's leagues more comfortable now, and Hori isn't making that monster hunter grip anymore ($110+ on the used market) so this is as good as it gets, it seems. At least it's not some gross 3D print off Etsy.

Works well enough.
This does block the cartridge slot, and is kinda a pain to take off, so keep that in mind. It is not something I need to worry about, but if you have a lot of cartridges that you change often, this might not be for you. It does improve the (terrible) ergonomics of the New 3DS XL, which is what I was looking for. I have a capture card installed, and it does not block the USB-C port.

Good case/grip for New 3DS XL
Overall I'm happy with this case/grip for my New Nintendo 3DS XL. It makes the system more comfortable to hold for a long time. I like the way it makes the 3DS look sitting on a shelf inside my Nintendo systems display case. The rear kickstand is a bit flimsy so I am concerned that that may break eventually but hopefully by opening and closing it very gently that will not happen. It is easy to get the 3DS into the case and it seems securely held in place when there. I've seen a lot of 3DS systems with worn finishes on the back of them and this case prevents wear on the back of the unit. For the price this is well worth purchasing but I would have happily paid more for a stronger build quality.

Fits perfectly, but very slick material. Covers game card slot.
This material is very hard to keep a grip on. It fits perfectly, it stays on nice & tight. But it’s a very slippery type of plastic, like those plastic phone cases, but with a different texture. It is useful in providing extra comfort for extended gaming time, but it’s also worth noting that it does also cover the game card slot.

I love it! So much more comfortable for longer gaming periods
Is so much easier for holding the DS for longer gaming periods, especially with arthritis is my hands and fingers! I love this DS grip holder! I use something similar for my Nintendo switch. Highly recommend!

Perfect grip for the "NEW" 3DS XL
This thing is perfect for adult hands (probably kids hands too). For those that put it on and it falls out easily, you probably have the 3DS XL and not the "NEW" 3DS XL. Similar but different models and dimensions. Mine fits perfectly snug, pretty easy to take off. No game slot to switch games but not difficult to get off either. I lightly pull the top middle of the case back from my 3DS to get it off. Very happy with it over the rubber grip I got then returned.

Simple.
It just snaps in and that's it. Simple. Being pretty much the only option on the market for a New 3DS XL grip, I am willing to overlook any cons like the card port being blocked. Seems like there's no other way it could be anyway, and it's simple enough to pop the system out and put it back in.I could not play this system without a grip, and this one solves my issue well.

More to hold, more to love
Makes the console a bit more ergonomic. Covers the game slot so to change physical game cards you have to remove the grip. To remove the grip you have to pry up by a couple mm the tab on the top that clicks to hold the 3DS in place. It’s worked well for me so far but it would be nice if it had a cutout for the game slot or if it was a little easier to remove.
