Is this instrument designed for in-home use? If yes, how many square feet of coverage will one unit provide?

Hi there. The T3-R can be used both indoors and outdoors. If using the T3-R outdoors, it needs to be somewhat sheltered/protected from the rain. The T3-R covers up to 6000 sq. ft in open areas. We have a squirrel and rat problem out in the yard but I have a dog. Better to put it in the attic?

I have 2 pampered indoor dogs; a mastif & a St. Bernard mix. Both have slept next to the unit even though they have full run of the house and backyard. So your dog should be fine. On the other hand in the past I used poison and I was careful to place it in areas inaccessible to the dogs. However, dying rodents do not always hide. One of my dogs partially ate a poisoned mouse and had to be taken to the vet. I came close to losing her. It was an expensive lesson. Hope this response helps.

I think it'd be fine for chickens. Chickens hear (125-2,000 Hz) lower frequencies on the ultrasonic end than humans (64-23,000 Hz) and rats (200-76,000 Hz).

Does this product affect rabbits?

Not sure. We've had our unit about 6-8 weeks. Didn't see any squirrels or chipmunks or rabbits near our deck. We saw a squirrel on our deck the other day and a rabbit on the patio eating one of my plants. We inspected the unit, and saw it had gotten wet and was not working. Going to order another unit and place it where it will not get wet. I believe it is keeping the critters away.
