This is an innovative, valuable, universally useful, and all-around amazing product.
I'm really glad that I waited to review the EYOYO DIGITAL MAGNIFIER FOR LOW VISION. When I first got it, I was extremely busy and in the middle of moving. I tested it out a couple times and didn't fully appreciate how useful it could be. It wasn't until I moved and unpacked it that I started to realize what an amazing product this is. Pretty much everybody over the age of 40 needs some kind of eyeglasses or readers to see small print or other tiny things. I don't think this is a product meant specifically for people with non-typical low vision conditions. I think anybody could benefit from this product because it works fantastic and it can reveal a world much smaller than you can see with your naked eye. This digital magnifier has a lot going for it. It is extremely easy to use. It is rechargeable. It will open up a whole new world to you. In some ways, this is akin to using a microscope with slides that have been stained for contrast and maximum viewability. This has a magnification range of 2X-48X. I've never used it any higher than 17X myself. It has a range of colors that will change what you're looking at, making it easier to view, or either more or less detailed depending upon what it is you are magnifying. The contrasting colors really bring out the fine details. It's as easy as pressing a button to scroll through the colors until you see your object in appropriate relief that shows it off best. For text viewing, this is also amazing. I have seen instructions and text on the side of packaging that I can't read even with my 2.5X readers. It's amazing how tiny instructions on the side of packaging can be. If the text is a light color on white, I have to give up on trying to read it. You see this a lot with imported products and ingredient lists. Sadly, it’s increasingly common. Most people care about the ingredients in imported products. This will allow you to read those impossible texts easily. A push of the button can change your view and actually highlight a paragraph of text line by line. This also allows you to take a picture of whatever you're viewing. It stores on a memory card, which is not included. I haven't used this feature yet, but I can see where it might come in handy. Even older, visually impaired people should find this product easy to use. There are very few buttons, and they are large and easy to see or feel manually. Buttons control a range of options and are set up to be intuitive. The plus and minus buttons control the magnification. A single button scrolls through as many as 15 color choices for contrast. This is set up specifically for ease of use. It would be a good choice for the elderly or even the mentally impaired. The 5-inch screen is large enough to be able to see what you're looking at without causing eye strain or the need to squint. This is a first-rate product that I am finding extremely useful. When I keep it handy, I find myself reaching for it over and over again. Everybody wants to be able to see better. We are surrounded by things that are too small to see. I can't imagine anybody who wouldn't appreciate having such a handy portable device that can improve on what is arguably the most important of the five senses. I really can't praise this highly enough. The price is reasonable for how useful it is and how much it could improve someone's life. This would make a thoughtful gift for someone who needs it or even for someone who has 20/20 vision. You might just want to keep it for yourself, though. It’s a pretty innovative, valuable, universally useful, and all-around amazing product.

Works well (until it doesn't)
When it works, the magnification and clarity are very good. However, the multitude of buttons all around the unit makes inadvertent pressing of a wrong button almost a certainty. Based on that, I would rate this device at 4 stars.UPDATE1:I had to downgrade my rating, because the unit started to shut itself off after one day of working properly. When powered on, it shows the WELCOME screen, then works for about 5 seconds. Then, it just powers itself off (the battery is fully charged).I sent an email to the support team. If they reply with a working solution, I will change my rating back.UPDATE 2:The merchant's customer support offered a full refund or a software update. The software was for Windows and I use Mac. Besides, to be able to transfer the software update to a micro SD card, I would need a card reader/writer, which I don't have. I responded that I want a replacement unit rather than a refund. I will report back after I get the new unit.FINAL UPDATE:I received a replacement unit. It worked for 2 days (progress). Then, it refused to be switched off. It stayed on despite pressing the ON/OFF button for 1 second or longer. Finally, I was able to turn it off by removing the battery.Needless to say, this is the kind of product I would never recommend to anybody. If I could, I would switch my rating from 1 star to 0 stars.

Instructions have error
Instructions errantly state how to get into brightness, language settings. Use the settings button (center left button *) , not the freeze II button as stated.Tv hook up is great feature. Cumbersome access to reach support. Only email option is available.

10 Stars! This is SOOO much better than a magnifying glass! GET IT!
Wow! I’m so impressed with this!If you have bad eyesight (like my parents), you will LOVE this. Magnifying glasses are great, but they are limited. First, you can’t really get enough magnification. Some of these magnifiers, in order to get the high magnification, you have to use a very small (usually circular) lens that is embedded into the lenses of a weaker power. This has a large screen which is also your viewport and can display the max magnification on a nice big area. Now, you should know that the higher powers is digital magnification, so it does get pixelated… but it’s still useable. With the integrated light and two cameras (one facing the user), you can see most anything you need to close up. For example, if you get something in your eye, you can use the second camera for this.Anyway, I am so happy with this. If you can only get one magnifying glass, get this one. Yes, it is pricey… but if you have bad eyes, this will be one of your most favorite things you get on Amazon. If I could give this 10 stars, I would.
