This is a review of RefluxRaft Acid Reflux Therapy with Organic Alginate, Rapid & Long Lasting Gerd, LPR & Digestion Symptom Support, Zero Sugar, Gluten Free, Low Sodium, Berry Burst Flavor, 47 Gel Servings, 8 OZ BottleI’ve tried several different products to battle LPR, and those with alginate work best for me, which is why I chose this Refluxraft product. The Berry Burst flavor is fine. While it is not as tasty as actual berries, for such a product, it tastes quite good. In other words, it is tasty for a medical product. And, in fact, though I like good flavor in my food, it is probably healthier that this isn’t so tasty that I want to eat too much of it! This reflux product suggests using 1 to 2 teaspoons at a time (unlike one product I have used that suggests taking 1 to 2 tablespoons at a time). I usually take it before bed since acid reflux gets worse when I lie down. I try to put it way back in my throat since I’ve already brushed my teeth and want to keep them clean—alginate products work best if you don’t eat or drink after taking them. But I am wondering if I should start taking it after large meals; I might try that. So far this has worked and has not caused any adverse reaction.

The safety seal came off in transit, which I didn't like. I do not believe it was tampered with, I have had certain types of safety seals do the same thing as this, there is a different way that it comes off than if it tampered with. Anyway, this is pretty thick. it can be a bit hard to swallow because of that, luckily the directions say that there is only a small amount of product needed compared to other products like this. I felt that it worked well for the purpose. Any issues I had were quickly reduced or eliminated when I took this. It does work and I like that there is only a small amount of product needed to help. I only had to take one serving for it to work, so this should last a long time. This makes it a pretty good value. I haven't taken this before sleep, I took it after eating a meal where I began having reflux issues and this solved it. The taste is okay, not the greatest, but for this kind of product, it wasn't the worst I have ever tried. The shelf life on this is good too, which is great for the bottle being a good value since it will actually last a while since you don't need that much to help your reflux.

This is quite thick, and a little hard to swallow by itself. It’s really heavy on the flavoring, it masks the algae-based ingredients. It is good if you only drink this occasionally when needed because it has a decent 2-year shelf life. It had 18 months remaining. For me it is usually needed if I eat too much right before bedtime. If you don’t like the berry flavor, they also have this in lemon, but that is much more acidic. Considering the price and consistency/flavor, this is really a love it or hate it type of product.

First off the taste is good for a medicine and I actually appreciate they used zero sugar elements as I'm trying to diet and get healthier. It's a bit gritty but completely tolerable especially compared to "home remedies" such as drinking baking soda. Here is the problem I'd say.. if you are taking a tums here or there or maybe even a single pill of say prilosec this would probably alleviate they pretty good for you. My "GERD"/acid reflux is ... stronger. I take 2 40mg pills a day. I will say while it does valiantly fight the good fight. I assume once it leaves your stomach(after a few hours) you are back to square one. So I'd not use this if you have a worse form of GERD/acid reflux. This is a more "natural" medicine that I suppose might be targeted towards people who wish to avoid PPI though you will pay for that in cost. I guess it comes down to what you are looking for. Some people lothe taking things like PPI's due to studies of what can happen as you age with larger doses. Anyways it does work for me but it's not going to last as long as a traditional PPI and if that works for you then I suppose that works for you. One that I'll state is please consult your doctor before changing away if they've already prescribed something. Remember your doctor is there to help and if they prescribe you something they've done it for a reason so just check with them first please.

Wasn't a big fan of the texture or taste. However it did take away the heartburn. It did what it claimed it would do even if I didn't like how it tasted it works well,

Warning. This product did not work for me and it burned my throat. My reflux is worse from taking it, and Amazon says it is not returnable. Even though the manufacturer’s website says their “Gerdy’s Guarantee” allows returns (30 days) for any reason, Amazon says it is not returnable after 5 days. I chose to try this product because it is aluminum-free, unlike Gaviscon UK (which DOES work and DOES NOT burn my throat). I contacted the manufacturer directly regarding this issue, and they apologized for the problem and issued a full refund. So they do honor their guarantee if you contact them directly. If you purchase directly from Amazon and have a problem like I did, you will have to contact the manufacturer. Amazon does not allow returns for this item.

This is a really interesting product. As someone that has had an easily upset stomach for years, I figured it would be neat to try out.I was a bit worried I wouldn't like the taste, but it tastes pretty good. The smell is a bit odd, but truly not in a bad way.This does have a thicker viscosity, almost like a partially melted smoothie or something similar. It goes down easy.I tried this before bed on a night that I ate later than I probably should have (and a little too close to bedtime.) Normally, doing so would leave me with stomach upset and heartburn/acid issues by morning. That next morning was different! I actually didn't have any stomach upset at all. It works really well.I love the idea of using all natural ingredients - especially when it actually works, and this product does.
