Epic
Performance is great on a cooler sunny day I've drawn 80w in the UK which is mega! Charge wise it has direct usb c capabilities at 45w which is handy to charge power banks and to use alongside a usb AA and AAA battery charger. My main use for now is for an Anker 100, it just needs an adapter and it works great. Over the moon, super handy to have and means I'll always have battery life on my phone, kids batteries and everything else for free. There's no display on the unit as such so check your device to see that's it's a charging. Luckily my Anker has a controller display so I can see what it's pulling. Without that it's guesswork and hope.A tiny LCD and shadow/angle device would make this perfect.

Good quality
I needed something to keep my campervan fridge topped up while at a 3 day festival and decided on this rather than an all in one cheap asian one. After buying the controller and all the cables it cost around £200. Probably went overboard with cabling but my battery is permanently wired with plug terminators and I have extension leads with plugs. All I have to do is plug the various end together when I want to set up. I put it on the roof using bungies through the handles, and also a security wire so it wouldn’t get nicked. Did it work? Yes. After 3 1/2 days of mixed sun my leisure battery just dipped to 11.9v and run the Dometic CRE50 fridge all that time. It also fit in the cab to keep the main battery topped up when I’m not using the van. Cost more than an all in one but it is more flexible in It’s use and upgradeable.

Good value for money
I used item to keep a power bank charged in my shed. It was easy to secure item on the shed roof and not too heavy on roof. Output was good even on an overcast day. Only thing which needs improvement are the metal studs which keep panel closed securely for transporting around. After only a couple of days they were showing evidence of corrosion..... A little spray of WD 40 should should take care of this minor issue.

Suprised!
Really like this panel, was sceptical when I purchased this as flexible panel, but first install I was getting 201w of power through 75/15 MPPT, panel can get pretty hot when in direct sunlight, doesn’t affect power output by much.

Arrived Damage Twice, but useful if you get an undamaged one
Be careful when accepting delivery of Solar Panels. The panel I ordered arrived damaged, with a scratch/tear in the protective UV coating for the panel. The box had been pieced multiple times and the both end of the box were resealed by the delivery company, with their branded tape.Because it is important that the protect coating is undamaged so I had to request a return. This actually points out a design flaw, when the 400w solar briefcase is closed, the two outer panels are faced outwards when closed and thus not really protected very well, even though Renogy provide a case for the solar briefcase it is not padded. Thus providing very little extra protection. This is a heavy solar panel, designed to be transported by vehicle not carried. It is reasonably large too, so is you have a small car, you might want to check if it will fit in the boot. With regards to value for money, it’s priced well against its competitors while on sell at £450. But I would never pay full retail for it. Solar panels need not be that expensive. I can’t say how it performs as I didn’t test it due to the visible damage.I would expect to see real world results from 100w on bright but cloudy days, to 350w on bright days in direct sunlight. Which realistically means I need between two of these panels to top up my solar generator (2kWh capacity, only ever used from 80%-20% SOC) while on the road, as we tour in a 4x4. Two awake and two sleeping usually, and only ever stopping for a maximum of two hours for driver breaks when we would actually use the solar panels to top up the solar generator that powers the laptops and other electronics.I ordered a second panel, while waiting for my return to be processed and found the second panel has some clouding and defects on the end panel. Again the box at one end was delivered open. So I suspect the packing is just not up to standard for such large heavy panels. The Blutti PV200S which are smaller, lighter 200w semi rigid folding panels are packaged similarily and arrived sealed and in perfect condition. So I guess Renogy just need to rethink the packaging and possibly the direct the panels face when closed, so that the are faced inwards when closed.A friend has two Renogy 400w briefcase panels and testing the we saw 100w-360w out of each panel on an autumn day which alternated between bright but cloudy and direct sunlight. Setting them up is really best with two people, but they can be setup with one person. The stands don't really allow for adjustment of the angle, but to be honest you really wouldn't want to be repositioning these large panels every few hours, you'll probably just leave the out for a few hours from 10am to 4pm and then pack then up.

Good product
We used this to charge a power bank. On a sunny day we has 400w in total. It peaked at 84w for a while. This was a good purchase.

Good output
Good panel with over the stated output on a good day.Could just do with a handle and a compartment for the cables. However, comes with a great carry bag which is very useful.

Solar Paneele
