Seagate Exos X20 ST20000NM007D 20TB 7.2K RPM SATA 6Gb/s 3.5in Hard Drive (Renewed)

Refurbished has been good to me so far. I have 4 of these in my synology NAS and after 1,2 and almost 3 years, no failures with daily use!

Snagged a bunch of these for a new NAS; they're not even "renewed" - they are "factory recertified" (which I'm pretty sure is better from this specific seller). I'd just double check to ensure you're getting it from the popular one you think you are.Happy camper - saved literally thousands buying these.

I'm doing a lot of Digital photos for sports and Church events and saving them. I needed a mass external storage unit to save the photos to I bought this drive to put in the external storage case. One that holds 2 hard drives 20 TB each for a total of 2 drives totaling the memory to 40 TB max.

Drive came with an already low 70 Seek Error Rate and an 82 or the Read Error Rate.This worries me as these still do cost quite a chunk of money. I know these aren't horrible numbers but they are numbers of moderate usage. No bad sectors but I am expecting a drive still at this price to last more then a couple years as that may be on the top end with these sort of numbers..This drive was from ServerPartDeals.. Extremely disappointed coming from such a reputable company.Review may be updated in the future if these numbers go up... or down... This data is on 5/19/2025

The drive came well packed and in good condition. The packaging was well packed and protected the drive from external damage and impacts.

Very good product

So far no rating. It was very noisy when I first powered up but has since quieted down. I hope it did not have a head crash. I am loading it up right now and will post more in a few days.edit. 12/23/2024. The HD has been loaded and is working great. I would buy again.

Have 3 out of 4 deliveries worked just fine. 1 of the hdd was dead on arrival which I got a replacement pretty quickly. Good deal IMO for cheap storage. Would buy again.
