Best Terraform book I've read in a long time!
Shoutout to Mark Tinderholt for sharing his wisdom in "Mastering Terraform: A practical guide to building and deploying infrastructure on AWS, Azure, and GCP"Here's why I think that this book is an absolute game-changer if you work or want to work with Terraform:- The book covers basics such as HCL, language, state, and modules, as well as advanced topics such as deployment patterns, all using examples and best practices that you can directly apply in your day-to-day job.- I love how the book takes you from zero to hero. Once you reach page ~470, you learn how to manage and deploy complex, multi-cloud architectures using Terraform.- Mark explains complex topics clearly and concisely, making them easy for beginners to understand and providing depth for experts - I really enjoyed reading it and didn't get bored (which is what happened to me with a lot of other Terraform books). My favorite is the state management chapter, which uses the "Jurassic Park" analogy—I won't spoiler more, though, lol.Guess what? I consider myself fairly well seasoned when it comes to Terraform 🤪 but even I took away some excellent learnings! So, whether you’re new to Terraform or looking to deepen your expertise, this book provides clear, practical insights - I highly recommend it!

Terraform the major cloud providers
It is hands down the best book on Terraform I have read to this date (to be fair I have not read that many books specifically on Terraform) but it is also one of the better technical books I've read (and I have read many of those!)The best part of the book is the equal coverage of AWS/Azure/GCP. Terraform documentation tends to lean very heavy on AWS so this book is refreshing. But it also covers more than Terraform itself, you'll learn plenty of DevOps practices useful in other contexts.I consider myself to be fairly well versed on the topic of Terraform, but I still did pick up a few things from this book. I enjoyed the GCP part the most since this is the cloud where I have the least experience myself.I highly recommend you go read this book today if you're learning Terraform or just want a good technical read focused on Terraform.

Took me from zero to hero!
Whenever exploring a new-to-me technology, I look for that one book that can get me up and running in the fastest time. Mastering Terraform is that book for learning Terraform. Mark's expansive experience leaves no corners untouched all the way through detailed, specific instruction on the major cloud platforms. Already know Terraform? You need this book to accelerate your learning into areas you have yet to imagine. Starting from scratch? The beginning chapters don't just dive into commands and X gets you Y; they explain why X and why Y with analogies and scenarios that makes sense to all IT professionals. Stop reading this review and buy it. You won't be disappointed.
