Don't count on the product description
So, this renewed camera came with a shutter count of over 200,000. According to Nikon the life of the camera expires at 150,000. The camera was received in very clean condition however, the shutter activation count concerned me so I contacted the seller - no response. For the price, I decided to have the shutter replaced on my own - but, it was the shutter, shutter seals, and shutter motor to the tune of over $500. Overall, aside from the misleading description and the non-existent warranty service, I'm happy with the camera. When I'm done, it will be new.

Very good camera but I still love my old D-700
Has great resolution when you get the exposure spot on using low ISO numbers but can get extremely grainy at high ISO numbers and will show ANY camer shake so use stabilized lenses and a tripod or shoot very fast shutter speeds. The attached photo shows how good the image can get but on my Safari to South Africa my best shots were with my trusty D-700 with a third of the pixles.Sensor size is a better indication of quality than just huge megapixles. Also if you have older Optically STabilized lenses they are not all compatible with the new autofocus drivers on this camera. I have a first generation Sigma 150-500 OS and it does not work with the D-810 but works great with my D-700.

Damaged Product ... Not even Usable
I ordered the Nikon D810 36.3MP 1080p FX-Format DSLR Camera (Body Only) 1542B + One Year Extended Warranty - (Certified Refurbished). I am not even sure who Certified this refurbish. They are very foolish to even pass this off with a broken mount and body to this camera. It's clearly the Camera has been dropped. The camera would not even mount a lens. I have wasted plenty of time making the labels for this return. I have wasted a lot of time with this purchase and very unhappy right now. Time is money and that's what happening here. If you going to make a purchase on a refurbish item please be very careful.
