Caring for a home hospice patient
Reasonably priced and very necessary for hospice care.

Works as intended
This is a set of ten wound care bandages. Total size is just about as listed while the actual absorbent pad section is just over 5 inches across. Self adhesive hasn't irritated the skin that we've seen and holds on pretty decent even with minor friction. No issues with one quick shower without direct water flow.

Stays in place, great coverage.
Well made bandage. The adhesive works well and is gentle on skin when removed. Adequate foam for protection.

Best wound care bandages I've found.
I'm super impressed with these wound pads. While it is a bit tricky to remove the backing without the edges curling and sticking to each other, by slowly peeling and angling it to avoid peeling, it's not too hard. What I really love is the holding power on these, yet when I remove them there is zero irritation or damaged skin below. Here these are used on a wound in the armpit area that will never heal. These are thick enough to absorb any wound drainage with zero odor breakthrough, plus soft and flexible enough that I can contour it to the armpit area and still allowing easy movement and no annoying feeling in the armpit area.

Larger, Absorbent Sacral Dressing
This is a 10-pack of individually wrapped 7"x7" sacral wound dressings. The dressings offer five layers including a silicone layer to make application and removal more gentle, a hydrophilic layer to help with absorbing of drainage, a layer that helps spread drainage evenly, an absorbency layer, and the waterproof layer to help keep other outside substances from getting into the dressing. These are larger sacral dressings than I've used before, however, they work pretty well. I'm particularly impressed by their ability to absorb drainage and to keep it from staying in one place. I've been a little less impressed with the adhesion of the dressing as I do find these bandages curl up a bit. I also find the actual pad part of the dressing tends to stick in the middle a bit more than I'd like.Sacral dressings tend to be super expensive. I am pleased with both the value and quality of these dressings. I've been using them consistently, though I do tend to use medical-grade tape to assist in their staying in place due to the tendency to curl up a bit. I'm a pretty active wheelchair user and I have a feeling these will be much more effective for those who are less active. These are a good but not quite great option for those seekign a larger, more absorbent sacral dressing. These are a good quality and a great value.

Keep on hand for bottom sores
Things like these are priceless in my life right now… as a paraplegic, you never want to get the sacrum sores, or even just bottom sores in general… they have to be cleaned and dressed and watched like a hawk for drainage and infection. These bad boys here, they’re not glamourous, but they’ll hold you together while you do the things needed to heal. I hope I never need them again, but I keep them because I know how valuable it is to have right now, on hand, rather than having to order and wait while having the problem.

Bandage
Great size for bedsores. Very absorbent and the padding is thick.

as expected for these bandages
I would give this 5 stars if it knocked it out of the park, but it only is comparable to other sacrum bandages I've used.I used this on a pervasive level 4 sore for a family member I care for. Just like other patches, it was a great fit, mostly the same style of adherence (a bit tricky, especially with gloves, no getting around that), and definitely absorbed excess healing product (silvasorb, cleansing sprays, etc) and the wound discharge itself. In *that* regard it is water/moistureproof, but it is **still not waterproof against skin moisture - warmth or incontinence**If your client/patient/loved one struggles with a pressure sore that is in a moist area, this will absolutely still come up at the ends and the wound will be exposed to either the elements, or the source of dampness.I have yet to find ANYTHING that works in this regard, however.
