Filter Bros Replacement 400 Classic HEPA Particle Filter Fits BLUEAIR 480i

We need filters for our blue air, these fit just fine. It is kinda nice we can set it for 6 months autoship too.

Took chance with a non-manufacturer replacement filter. It fit my Blu Air 455EB perfectly. Was well packaged and arrived on time. Very happ with both quality and price.

Opened up my order that was delivered to my door, removed the old filter, and installed the new one...so easy and convenient.

This unit fits the Blueair 400 unit precisely. It appears to work well in terms of quiet operation and good air quality as far as I can tell. However, the filter has a front and back that are different. One face of the filter has a metal screen so it should go in one way. The filter has a sticker that says it should go in with the sticker facing out, but there is a sticker on both sides, meaning it could go either way.I looked at the old filter I was tossing and it appears the wire mesh should face to the right near the electrodes. But this is sloppy work on the manufacturers side.

I can’t swear to it, but these seem to be identical in every way to the Blueair filters that are considerably more expensive. The nice thing is subscribe and save means I can just put them on auto order every six months and just not worry about it.Edit: i have had the blueair 400’s for a long time, so i really don’t pay attention to arrows. When i removed the filter to change it out i realized that the air flow arrows are backwards. I have no idea if it is a bad batch or permanent. To remember a good rule of thumb for just about any filter, The metal side of the filter always goes to the inside of the unit, in other words air flows from bare filter to metal side.

I originally bought the filter during the days when there were fires everywhere and the smoke was awful. I purchased my BlueAir filtering system to help get the smoke out of my house. It worked great. I've used it ever since. Now I have doges living in my home and one has a skin condition which causes him to have an odor. I find that the filter is good for getting rid of that smell. I had turned the machine off after the date of expiration was past. This is when I realized how much the filter is helping. I now have my new one and the air in the house is good again.

First time I tried a non-bluair brand filter and this one smelled like curry (weirdly true; even for others whom I had test my impression). I’m not saying it WAS curry, but for a replacement filter for removing finest particles and odors, it made me nervous that it had a strong odor straight from box. Also, it was much lighter (like half the weight) of the bluair brand that fits my bluair machine, so that also made me suspicious about what’s inside. Also FYI: It did fit in my Bluair 400 series hepa filter & the machine turned on and worked with it in (while blowing out more curry smell lol). However, I returned it. Return was simple and credit reached me quickly. I will stick with brand name replacements from now on. UPDATE: The return was accepted and refund credited to an amazon gift card (not original means of purchase) but the refund process happened in a reasonable amount of time and effort.

Finally an alternative for the very expensive OEM SmokeStop filters! Have four 402s in a large home so filter replacement means spending some serious money. I am so glad this small shop offers a considerably cheaper solution. Will most definitely be a repeat customer.
