I used it to oxidize new wood patched into an old guitar so it didn't stand out. It works really good. A bit too good, so you have to be careful of how much you use. A little goes a long way and it's super satisfying watching a vibrant violet liquid turn wood a yellowish brown color.

I add a little bit to wash some towels or white clothes which become yellowish some part, then mix the cloth with vinegar. It turned white color again.
