So far, so good.Replacement took ten minutes; pretty straight forward. Battery had 80% charge out of the box. Once fully charged, I ran it down to 5%, recharged, then ran it down again. Lasted about 135 minutes while simultaneously powering two heavy usage apps. Would probably last much longer if I was simply scrolling the internet or typing a paper/spreadsheet. This laptop is an Intel power-hog. So, two hours is good enough for me. Time will tell how well it holds up. If it sucks soon, I’ll update the review.

My ASUS gaming laptop suddenly stopped charging the battery after a couple of years, and this inexpensive replacement got me back in business. If you are familiar with working on computers and machinery and have the right tools, this is a fiddly but pretty straightforward installation process.Head to YouTube for step-by-step videos (read the video comments! Some of them skipped important steps!). Basically, you're removing a bunch of screws in the casing, pulling the hard drive and releasing some inner cabling, then popping the battery out. You will need a couple of sizes of small Phillips head screwdrivers and some plastic pry bar tools (way better than using a flathead screwdriver).

I am not one to believe ALL negative reviews, so I purchased the battery optimistically as it appeared to work well for most buyers. The battery charged to 99%, which was not a big deal, and then I unplugged to test the life.I started web browsing on "better battery" at 99% and then switched it to "better performance" when it reached 82% (16 minute difference). At that point, it estimated 1.5 hours of batter life. After an additional 26 minutes (42 minutes total) of web browsing my battery was at 6%. That is ridiculous. The 5 year old ASUS battery that I was attempting to replace (the original) still lasts about 1 hour with web browsing. I am a blown away by this. Already started the return and refund process.If you intend to keep your laptop plugged in all the time and don't have a battery that works at all, I guess this would work for the cost. Otherwise, nope.

Restored life to my 2017 Asus ROG laptop.

I installed this last weekend. So far my laptop works perfectly. I felt the price was very good compared to other online sites. The fit was perfect; installation was aided by a YouTube video. I made the mistake of using screwdrivers to open the case, leaving a bunch of tiny gouges in the Plastic. I suggest getting a good set of hard plastic pry tools to avoid this.

Bought one from ebay didn't work. it was a pain in the ass to return. Bought one from amazon it worked. to soon to comment on battery life
